PROMISE

I give you all my word on this. If "Salty Dog" has become the forum for posts of praise or disdain for Word Puzzles- not one thing against them or those who take the time and effort to write them and the neverending things, I am done posting. Sent a "thank you" to Fyclist-sure I misspeelled that thanking him for his atempt to use "Trivial Tangents" to post his thread . He will suffer for it am sure. As I noted in a previous post-Vickie never two-faced consistenrly kind. Believe I am consistent on the other side of the spectrum-consistently bi----.! There was one political debate her this am in which I have not much interst but it actually border on "spicy"! Linda

God Almighty, I hope not religion after reading the 100 days political thread. How 'bout T & A, or S & M or something really spicy or maybe the breeding habits of the two headed mammoth lizards on that uncharted island. Or, how many red hot chili peppers someone can eat in 10 minutes or what else can you do with those peppers? By the way, "Mamma Mia" is prolly the most fun I've had seeing a movie in a long while. Sp-i-i-i-i-cy! And fun!!!!!

Speaking of S&M, I did date a girl in Toledo who liked to be spanked during sex. My lack of co-ordination do to the sauce usually made my attempts look like the Steve Martin hand clappin' to the R&B number in "The Jerk". That relationship was doomed from the start. She wound up married to a salesman.

OK, I don't mean to be cruel or disrespectful of anyones' opinions here, but why should any one person get to be the BBS police and decide what is acceptable to be posted where? (except the editors keeping the site family friendly, I like that they do that!)

Sure, I'd love to see people using the other forums more - Trivial Tangents would be a much better place for WP discussions and Neverending games. Or the Hit List would be a great place for Platinum WP praise. I'd rather see threads like "Advice about Marriage" or "Help me buy a house" or "How do I get my tomatoes to grow" in the Ask the Audience area. I have no problem with these threads at all, but I think there is a BETTER forum for them to be placed in.

However, I am not the BBS police. It's not my place to tell people what topics they can and can't post in which forum. And I don't think it should be any other players' place either.

If some people forget to check out the other forums, well, that's their loss. If you play on Sploofus as much as some of us do, it's kind of silly to say you can't manage that extra click to see what's up in other areas of the site.

Have you ever clicked on the Orange Community button? That lets you see the Shout without playing WRs. Lots more folks could try Shout communication if they feel they are losing the community feel. Or click the pull-down menu's Chat Forums (without going straight to Salty Dog); that gives you an option to see all the most recent posts listed, from all the different areas.

It's just not that hard to ignore the threads I am not interested in. And I just want to say that threatening to stop posting if you don't get your way is awfully petty over something so (excuse the expression) trivial!

Well I read Suzers post and it did make sense, but I have to mention now that the compressor in our refridge went out this afternoon and Whirlpool repair can't get anyone here until 8-11AM on Wed. We just put three 7 lb bags of ice in it but had to take my Heinneken mini-keg out to make room. Now,,,,,,,,,that sucker is 3/4 full and doesn't tap well when it is warm so since I paid $22 for the precious little gem I will have to dispose of it in the only way I know how. My question is; Can I post that in this forum?, and did I TMI this? Bye.

Suzer,
I read your post and thought you made a number of good points, and I agree that the forums could be better organized. But as you said, it's also easy to ignore anything I'm not interested in. I'll be glad once Justin has time to implement a search feature for user names and keywords, but that's probably low on his list of priorities.

I haven't seen "To Wong Foo," but it's one of the funniest and most memorable movie titles I've ever heard.

Ok Linda.. you were addressing your "question" to the entire population of Sploofus!!! I've tried.. I reached out with a private PM and you publicly respond with a derogatory connotation. You are confusing me and I think a little confused. I spelled it out in minute detail in my PM to you, why I am feeling frustrated (and yes, others here as well - and don't say I can't speak for others as I've read their posts - plain as day). You want something, you don't want something. You ask a question and then chastise when you get answers. AND you continue to ask when you get answers you don't like.

As opposed to the many threats you have made here, I DO promise not to respond to any of your threads/comments.
