BUMPING

On 7/29 around 11 p.m., it looks like a ton of threads were bumped so they all now appear on the first page of Salty Dog. Perhaps this was an effort to hide the Never Ending Activity threads on the second page? Bizarre!

No problem! If some people don't like seeing the never-ending threads, we should just start a bunch of them on Trivial Tangents, and let the control freaks have Salty Dog for themselves.

Believe Chick said in "shout" that is exactly what she did. There are various ways to express displeasre and believe she had every right to express herself in this way. If you are smaart you won't "tangle" with her-she's very popular and very good with words-trust me I know from past experience-glad that one is resolved as she came out the winner every time-just a suggestion-Linda

Yup, no question about it have gotten the "stupids" in old age as I had to look that word up-probably why I haven't been settting the world on fire on my vocab questions!!

Oh please. Have you guys ever been to any other messageboards? Just go bump them back up, fer cryin out loud. Not like she deleted them.

What she did was the equivalent of teepeeing the lawn, not burning the house down. Lighten up.

You too, Chick. Don't make me have to stop this plane!

Even tho I don't think she had a right to do that, who cares? It would be nice to have all the never-endings in one place, like on Trivial Tangents. That way everyone would be happy!

I'm really, really confused. What happened? The neverendings are on the top of the page this morning, so I don't get it.

If I understand the system correctly, every time someone makes a post to a thread, that thread is automatically moved to the top of that particular forum list again.

Yes, Larry is correct. When someone posts to a thread, it bumps to the top of the list. So burying them only solved someone's temporary frustrations!

And didn't do any harm.

Could we just bitch about stuff that matters, please? I've had exactly one vocab in 38 days.

I had four in the last ten days Donna, good old luck of the draw. Surprisingly, I got three of them right. I blew one that was about 80%, too.

This is an exciting thread.
My suggestion?

Eat a peppermint pattie to alleviate daily frustrations! Full sized patties for a very rough day; and miniatures for occasional stress situations.

Look how I have turned out. Me and Alfred E. Neumann are going to the candy store now. Bye.

York has 100 calorie wafer bars that taste like mint girl scout cookies! Yum! My new dessert indulgence that doesn't make me feel guilty.

Karen

Why is anyone upset about the bumping thing? In high school me and a girlfriend used to say we'd like to bump into certain good looking guys naked. I always though it was a good thing. And I did laugh when I saw that Kelly had done that! Bump the threads, that is.

No harm, Smoke? I suppose spammers are no harm either. I wanted a quick read of what was new before bedtime, and instead got bucketloads of that drivel. So if anyone had anything of note to say, sorry, I missed it.
