I've filled in all the letters on my first WP and typed the answer twice. Both times I got a SORRY. Could a spelling change have been made during the taking of a WP?

I didn't put a ticket in after all. Had no idea it was going to be such a pain to do.

Same issue here. On the other hand, a very fine effort and a fun puzzle.

Actually, I found TWO misspellings. I put in a ticket but it's been over an hour since the puzzle started. Sure took my score down!

That was a super fun Word Puzzle. Those names are hilarious! There is a town near me called Goofy Ridge and everyone loves to make fun of it. Great job Bleepy!

The Welsh town may or may not be misspelled. I have no idea.

Great puzzle!

And I was very happy to see "Bird In Hand Pennsylvania" included.

Was Bug Tussle included?

By the way, near Bird In Hand is also Blue Ball and Intercourse [Lancaster County, Penna.], but nothing odd about those, just everyday occurrences.

My favorite odd town name is Knockemstiff, Ohio, which according to Wikipedia is supposedly a ghost town now. It's located near Chillicothe, Ohio, where some of my cousins on my mom's side of the family live. My mom has frequently mentioned Knockemstiff, as she gets a kick out of the name, so I'll have to ask her what her recollection is for its origin. I'm sure there are even more legends than listed in Wikipedia. Here's the link to the Wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knockemstiff,_Ohio

Thanks again for a fun puzzle!

Thanks, guys!!! Here is the list of towns. I live by one of them, now. I probably should be the mayor!

Alvandy, I used to live somewhat close to the Amish places you mentioned. It was a tough one trying to decide which one to use. It was always a chuckle to drive through them (I'm SOOOOOO mature!).

why is the name of a town in arizona and why not is in north carolina ("huh?")
bald head is a small town on the coast of maine ("what about rogaine?")
hot coffee mississippi got its name from an inn that sold the drink ("caffeine heaven")
truth or consequences new mexico is named after the game show ("i'm not lyin' !")
bird in hand is part of pennsylvanias amish country ("worth 2 in the bush?")
texas and west virginia both have a looneyville ("seems a bit crazy...")
two eggs florida was named during the great depression ("sunnyside up?")
the post office in santa clause indiana gets many letters for saint nick ("all i want for x-mas")
tightwad missouri is said to be named after a miserly store owner ("penny wise??")
idiotville is a ghost town in oregon ("wonder why it fell?")

not really really rude....

Awhile back, a caller from ATHOL Idaho called in to the "Car Talk " radio show on National Public Radio.

"Click and Clack" , the program's hosts, had a lot of fun with that pronunciation.
