TOUCHE...AGAIN AND AGAIN!

Mariel Zagunis, 23 years of age, from Beaverton, Oregon and representing the United States, won her first piece of Gold undefeated in Women's Individual Sabre. Congratulations!

I get the point part, just not familiar with the event. Is it like fencing?

I think it's a triathlon of flying to Buffalo, skating and fighting.

No, not rattling cages, just a really stupid question, I guess. I honestly never heard of the event, and my mental image of a sabre leans toward cutlass.

LOL Smoke....Buick would appreciate the plug! Saber: a fencing sword with a v-shaped blade and a slightly curved handle. The gal was undefeated in five rounds...unprecented and indicates a superb handling of her "blade", "sword", aka " saber" Maybe Bill's handling of his "snookerballs" would be a clearer subject matter...but could he earn "gold" in the category?

I was thinking more pirate than Buick, but thanks for the info - that's quite an accomplishment! And I'm sure it must be beautiful to watch.

Ken the 47 wide right would neutralize the flight...

In that event, the US swept all 3 medals! Michael Phelps already has his 1st gold, as well. Go USA!!!!
