Great puzzle! You come away with a lot of smarts.

Being a geography buff helped me know many of the words quickly.

Kudos to Donleigh!

The lakes gave me a little trouble, the rest were fun. BTW for U.S. players, did any of you have special projects for countries like Canada and Mexico. If I recall correctly, I had Mexico in sixth grade and Canada in seventh. Our teacher would take about an hour twice a week and this was part of our geography grade. Once, she gave each of us a state to write on and send a letter to their chamber of commerce (postage was 3ยข). The interesting thing was that there were 48 kids in the class and 48 states at the time. My two sons are teachers and don't want classes over 25. I know we learned more then because look what we play now.

Great WP Donna. One of the best this year. The plants killed what would have been a great score, but it was enjoyable.

Rowlanda, how could you not know about the Toronto Blue Jays ?? The last time I was in Canada (Mississaugua), the toilet paper had their logo on it.

Good job Donna I was feeling a little low & red faced to be whooped by so many non-Canucks but as the luck of the draw goes I got Lakes, Plants & Buildings. I see from your list there were a couple I missed out on that would have been Zero letters for me, without even googling Don't feel so bad, now. Even learned the name & all about a plant I've never heard of out here on the Wet Coast. Now to find out if it will grow here, to add to my wildflower collection. Oh Canada, eh Loved yours Ken/Kaufman

Thanks for posting all of your phrases, Donna! This was one of those times when I wish I could have taken all ten puzzles! The phrases on birds and animals weren't among my five, and I would have really enjoyed deciphering arctic fox and ptarmigan, for example. Once again, great puzzle!

Gee Rowlanda, you've only been back on TO for a bit & you've already forgotten the Canuckleheads Don't ya hate it when you get stuck on a puzzle only to find it was so easy, that you look around the computer room hoping no one saw not even the dog. Hang in there

Randy, I snuck those 'easy' Canadian questions for my compatriots - figured you could all get get the Territories, Atlantic provinces, and capital cities in only a few guesses.
Is that cheating?

I don't think so, Donna, sadly I never got them. Symbols & Sports Teams rounded out my bunch, which I got with only a couple of letters
