I was reading the thread on crockpots and how with commute time, working families need 10 hours from when they leave home to dinner time. I remembered hearing about a stove that would be perfect for families like that.

It's the Whirlpool Polara. It's a refrigerator until it's time to cook! Can you imagine? Put your roast in the oven before work and it stays cold all day until time for it to turn on and then, bam, dinner's ready when you get home.

Whirlpool is looking into having upgrades for the Polara that allow you to turn it on remotely with your cell phone.

Super neat!

That is totally cool. That would great for me because I am notorious about forgetting to take things out of the freezer. This would solve my problem by just doing it for me.

First I have heard of this. Extremely cool, if it works.

Wow! Technology moves so fast at times that I cannot catch my breath.

Let us know=
any good links on this?

My old stove has been dying, and I wished for a new'un.

My landlord delivered the new'un today, I can't wait for the electrician to install it so I can savor the luxury of having FOUR hotplates again instead of a sporadic ONE.

I'm so glad your wish came true! Ooh, I'd love a new stove, too. My pilots won't stay lit and we have to manually light the burners. Arrgghhh!
