I would like to vent a little.

Last Friday afternoon my barber and personal friend lost his life just outside E. Lansing Michigan when an oil tanker truck went out of control and crushed his car. His wife was driving and she is listed as having life threatening injuries. They were on their way to Canada for their annual fishing trip. Talked to him recently over coffee and knew how much he was looking forward to this. His wife worked with my wife for years as RN's in the local hospital. Hoping she pulls through but will probably suffer guilt feelings if she does.

Geez Don, that really stinks. If the guy was your friend, I bet he was a real kick in the pants. I hope the best for his wife.

I have to say when I saw the title of this thread, my heart sank because I thought it was Murray.

Very sorry to hear of your news, Don. As a retired paramedic/RN I have seen what horrendous injuries can be inflicted in an accident like this. I wish the best for your late friend's wife and any family, and also for you and any other of his friends. At least he didn't suffer from a long-term illness but went quickly.

So sorry about your friend. Wish I knew of some profound words to say to ease the pain of your loss, but the only one that I can come up with is Sorry.

I echo all the sentiments above, including Lodi's, and I thought it was Murray too. So sorry, Don.
