VALENTINE'S GIFTS

So, what are you all expecting to get or give for the big day?
I got my guy an English bulldog puppy.

Sweet, TMJ
I asked my honey what guys like to get for Valentine's Day, and he said that it was a "girl" holiday and guys don't get anything. I think it is for both partners to do something sweet. I'm still percolating on an answer, so I'm curious to see what others are doing! Kate

Guys kinda like a bit of pampering ....a bath with energizing soaker......their fave drink, some music.....and a massage afterwards!

Even a walk along a beach at sunset with a bottle of bubbly and a blanket is known to work!

(Candy's dandy...liquor's quicker!)

I don't get my husband anything and I told him last year to please quit buying me valentines crap. Call me sentimental. Last year he did make me a romantic lobster dinner with good wine. I'll take that any day over flowers, boxed chocolates, cheesy cards and itchy lingerie.

If anyone wants to make a big hit with anyone they care about, there is a WONDERFUL online live lobster place I use. It makes the best gift. Complete lobster dinner delivered right at your door with bibs, butter, potatoes, corn, desserts. They also have shrimp, lobster tails, steaks, clams, etc. for those who don't want live lobster. I HIGHLY recommend. We send them for anniversaries, birthdays, or any special occasion. The best time was when my two bestest buds came down from Alaska. We ordered one and took it camping. We sat in the high Idaho wilderness by the river eating lobster tails, crab cakes, corn on the cob, and drinking fabulous beer. Find my a heart shaped necklace that can top that!

2. Give all the ladies in dept. a rose (12 max.)
3. Return diamond and ruby necklace with matching earrings
4. Buy a Red Lobster giftcard.

Thanks you, eesus!!!

I get all the free lobster I want...living on PEI with a lobster fisherman is enough for me. I would like a nice quiet night alone (minus the kidlette) so that I can be with my man before he goes back out to sea.
He is also a referee for hockey, so I may get him new blades for his skates. He likes his beer too...ooh it is a touch decision I tell ya.
I want a sappy card (his verbal skills are lacking in the romantic department) and a good session of ^&%!!!!!!
Gee, I had better get my Sploofus in now....

I'm not much for chocolate myself, and very picky about jewelry. I'd rather get another tattoo! Some good food & someone else cleaning the house would be the perfect gift for me!

Eeeewwwww Tuzilla. Not Red Lobster. That's like the McDonalds of seafood. And ditto on TMJ's good food and clean house! If my husband was standing there with $400 worth of jewelry, I would be super peeved. If he hired a cleaning crew to come in and swab the entire house, it would probably reduce me to tears and I know it would be his best valentines ever.

Well,I'm just happy to be loved and have someone to love.I know it sounds rather sappy, but it's true!My ex and I divorced almost three years ago,but we still loved each other. We have been through alot the last six months and it's been an extremely rough time for me.We finally got all of our problems worked out,I may have to do some fine tuning on some of them.We will be getting remarried on April 8 of this year and that's all I can wish for.He did get me a pair of pearl earrings for Valentines, that will be my "something new" for the wedding.Martha

Okay, okay, okay. I think I got it all set, now. I went to Red Lobster with my buddy and we ate up the gift card on shrimp poppers and a couple beers. I stopped at the Kirby place and they are coming out about 6:00pm to clean the house, and they said it would be free!!! All I have to do it look over their vacuum system while they are doing it. I said fine, as long as they are finished by 7:30pm when the Pistons tipoff. I think I am finally in. Whew!

WooHoo, sounds like a great deal, Tuzilla! LMAO!

The hubby got me chocolates and I got him a tray of sushi shaped into a heart. I'm going to tell him to go downstairs to get the leftovers out of the fridge and he'll find that instead - he'll be thrilled!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Well, my birthday's in 10 days, and since it's so close to Valentine's, I usually get a double-goodie on the 24th!

The hubby and I don't get to have a long Valentines because we both will be at school until late tonight, but I already got him a present. We adopted a dog for him at the local pound. a Husky/Lab X witha perfect temperment that nobody wanted. His name is Vincent (After the Lab on the TV show Lost) I dont know if he'll get me anything. I told him not to cause Vincent was kind of a gift for both of us even though I technically gave it to him.

The big holiday for my husband and me is our wedding anniversary. We don't really bother with the others. This year for #23 we hope to go to The Lady and Sons' Restaurant in Savannah, GA, owned by Paula Deen of the Food Network.
