LOST WORLD/REAL WORLD CONNECTIONS

I thought it might be interesting to compare LOST characters with the real people with whom they share a name.

Richard Alpert - Became known as Baba Ram Dass and wrote a book called "Be Here Now" which, according to a friend, is in part about being who you are at the time and place you find yourself. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ram_Dass)

I found that interesting because the Richard we know from the island had a somewhat chameleon-likeness to him. He doesn't age, but he was different, as far as his power and responsibility at the moments when he met Juliet, Ben, and Locke.

Thoughts?

Fudy: I think the Richard Alpert character is one of the most interesting. We don't know his story but he appears in other's backstories and he never ages. Hmmm.

Pepper: Yeah, Richard has been pretty important in the lives of some of the major players. It'd be nice to get a back story on him.
