Non-sports fans do not need to be afraid of this WP at all. It's a nice one even for those of us who are clueless when it comes to football! Thanks.

That was fun I never would have thought all those friday night football games watching my son play would help me with a puzzle. Good One.

I notice that almost everyone playing the game kept most of their points; nicely done to set up a quiz on this subject and keep everyone in the game.

I don't know a thing about football except that we're trying to get the funny, pointy ball between the goalposts while maiming as many players between here and there as possible.

I still did reasonably well. At the moment, I'm even in the top 100, which is a real feat for me! LOL

See folks, football puzzles can be fun. As an author of a football based word puzzle last month- I am especially pleased by the kudos to this author.

Donleigh gets carried off the field a hero. Congrats!

I enjoy watching football from time to time but really didn't know much about the details -- until now! Thanks for a fun and educational WP, Donna!

One of the worst ones for me in several days, but then again football is definitely not my category. I'm one who would be happy if no sports-related puzzles ever showed up, but I'm clearly in the minority, I fear. Still, for what it was, it was a good puzzle--just not my cup of tea.

Not my cuppa tea either,
but this is not the worst
score I've got lately.

I don't know much about football - except that the Nebraska Cornhuskers are beginning to look like a team again. Still, this was a pretty good puzzle. I am in the top 100 at this point, which is pretty good for my scores lately. Good job on this puzzle.

Rowlanda, I have a good one coming, once they release it.

I thought it was great (and it gives me another chance to say Go Steelers)

Same here, Slicko (except Cowboys). Best showing I've had in a long time. Now, if it had been Football 201, that would have been another story.

There ain't gonna be a 201. Thanks for the comments, I'm glad you all enjoyed it.

See, now, THIS is exactly the football WP I've been looking for. Wouldn't you know, I had no internet when it was live. Thank you so much, Donna, for posting all the clues/answers. I'm gonna study for the test! (Surely somebody will write one)
