I was just wondering if receiving an editor's award really increases the number of people who take your quiz or if it scares them away because people might think it is too hard? I wouldn't know, since I've never gotten one. That is my next goal!!!

Emi, as far as I can tell, the EA ups the number of takers on quizzes that would otherwise be ignored, but it does not affect quizzes that would otherwise not be.
Does that make sense?
That is, if you get an editor's award for 'Reinforced Concrete: How Much Do You REALLY Know?', 30 people will take it instead of 3, which are two degrees of negligible.
If you get an award for something a little more accessible, like rock guitarists, but it's hard, the same 30 people will take it whether you got an award or not. At least that's how it's turned out so far for me.

None of my EA quizzes have hit the top ten, though other ones do.

I've had one hit the top ten ("Do I have to PULL TEETH?") with 292 takers to date, but the other one ("Celebrity IQ's) with 50 takers....has not....yet.

My EA quiz "The Paul Is Dead Hoax" had just over 100 takers, so nope.

73 is the most takers I have had for ANY quiz. And my quiz with the EA has had much less than that.

I've had 2 EA quizzes. Cherry Ames, which I admit is rather esoteric has had something like 11 takers - and its been a long time. Ragtime, the Musical (which has been visible on the front pages for a couple of weeks, i think) has only had maybe 20, tops. And it only has 3 stars, I believe, which shouldn't scare players away. So, I don't know if the EA did anything for it. Guess Ragtime is MY favorite musical, but no one else's! Alice

I got an belated EA for 'Maine Coon Cats' I had lots moretakers in the first couple of days than forthe other quizzes but in total it is only slightly higher than the others now.
I think the fact it was cats probably contributed to the fast take up as much if not more than the EZ - thought it was very nice to get it

My EA quizzes have received a few more takers, but nothing like when one hits the Top 10. I guess everybody sees the Top 10 list several times a day, but not that many people seek out the EA page.

About "The Wizard of Oz" has 832 so far. It is now #1 on the "Most..."list. When it goes, I think the flood stops. However, I think the EA is quite significant. "Gone With The Wind" (no EA but comparable) is a better quiz and has a whole lot less participants . All six EA's do quite well as compared to those 55 without. However, I think the EA is a self fulfilling prophesy. Personally, I liked the shinny format... after we got to change our mind. Allena
