WHO AM I TILES

Wow I was incredibly lucky today and won the Who Am I? It happened to be a favorite author. Now like the Peter Principle I have points far above my level of competence, lol.

Anyway, what do the "tiles" by the winner names, mean?
2 tiles, 5 tiles, 7 tiles.

Congratulations on your wthai win. The picture is sliced into 12 pieces (tiles). The tile number next to your name is how many of the pieces (tiles) of the picture were revealed when you correctly solved the picture puzzle. So, there were 7 pieces (tiles) of the picture revealed when you correctly solved the picture puzzle. Hope this helps.

Congratulations! Don't spend all the points in one place!

The number indicates how many small squares of the picture were revealed at the time you made your brilliant identification of the mystery guest.

Congratulations on your win! Farley Mowat is one of my mom's favorite authors as well. You'll also be getting congratulations (along with other winners) in the WTHAI - Links & Talk thread that's in Trivial Tangents. Please feel free to join in the thread anytime, maybe tell us about one of your favorite Mowat books.

Aha! Thanks so much.

Is it wonderful to have hoards of helpful smart folks around, or what? It's like our own Jeopardy Panel. So why IS the sky blue and the meaning of life, also, if you have a sec'.

Though sadly it will turn out to be true, as one gets older and wiser, the meaning of life could ALSO be 41. It's never just 43, and that's it.

Ok I dutifully but not so articulately talked about the beloved Farley Mowat, in the amazing forum there. Hopefully not offending anybody, since Farley does that pretty well, so it's hard to talk about him without talking about his views. Fascinating guy, anywho. Thanks to everyone for your help and answers.

Who was the answer to the "Who the Heck Am I" from 2 days ago? It was the longest one without a correct answer I've seen to date. Where can I find the answers to past W.T.H.A.I.'s?

The answers for the last 10 puzzles (currently back to last Saturday) show on the right hand side of the WTHAI screen under 'Recent winners'.

If it's is further back than that, you could have a look in the Chat - Trivial Tangents - WTHAI Links and Talk, kindly started and maintained by Tresgatos (Geri).

Here is the link for the November thread:

Where do we go for detailed lessons on how to find the answers. I am just amazed sometimes at how the heck a person found the answer. I can search, search, search and get no where (except I've learned a whole lot of stuff). I want Who and Where the heck, lessons.

I think the secret to winning those is a combination between good old fashioned practice/hard work and in your personal life unemployment so you can look all day, lol.
