We are coming to Vancouver, BC in September to catch a cruise to Alaska. Just wondering about the city since we have never been there before but heard it is a beautiful place.

Vancouver is one of the finest cities in North America. Linger awhile and enjoy it. Be sure to visit Stanley Park. And, take the ferry over to North Vancouver. And, take the train out to New westminster and Burnaby.

And enjoy your cruise - we haven't been on many of them, but Alaska was definitely the best! Make sure you take the helicopter to land on a glacier. Spectacular!!

J&D, where will your cruise be taking you in Alaska?

P.S. I was in Vancouver, BC but the city in BC that captured my heart was Victoria. It was breathtaking.

Vancouver is an amazing guy and I almost LIVED in Stanley Park, we loved it so much!
He is Alaskan, so Alaska is home to him and heart's-home to me

We are going to do the Inside Passage to Alaska - going to Juneau, Ketchikan and two other places I can't remember at this moment. We are very excited about going - we took a western carribbean cruise 2 years ago - in two more years we are going to cruise Hawaii and then hopefully the next one will be to Noroway.

I used to live in Juneau, 1 mile from Mendenhall Glacier. If you get to go see it, will you take some pics for me?

Have fun!

Catch a ferry over to Victoria and go to Butchart Gardens. Absolutely amazing and totally worth the trip.

The inside passage is FABULOUS. We went on Holland America for our honeymoon and plan to return for our 10th.

We also went to the Vancouver Zoo. It was fun.

If you make it to Oslo, Norway be sure to say "Hello!" to my former girlfriend - the gal that my wife really does not like to hear me speak of. LOL!

I wasnt there for long (only 4 days) but I visited the zoo and it was beautiful. Just driving around was nice. One of the cleanest cities I've visited.

I've always thought Toronto was amazing but next to Vancouver it pales.

Any pics you can send of Juneau would be wonderful! Its been a long time since I've been there. Go to Anchorage about once a year but never make it down to Juneau anymore.

Wow....sounds like a great time - Alaskan cruise!

Vancouver (& Victoria - Buchart Gardens ) is a wonderful city. My wife and I have spent a few anniversaries celebrating in that part of BC. There are some terrific restaurants just off of the main strip (ave) downtown. cheers

If this is you're first trip to the NW and careful, you just may not want to go home......
