My parents live in Canada and will be celebrating today along with one of my brothers who's up there for a visit. My best wishes to all the Canadians here for a happy day! You contribute a lot to the site, and I always enjoy hearing your thoughts and perspective. Some of you have become friends, others have happily helped me with questions. I'm thankful for you all!

Today is the U.S. government holiday for Christopher Columbus. My son has the day off as a teacher, too.

Have a great day up in the Great White North.

How many stuffed ptarmigan does it take to make a feast?

Most thankful I am is that tomorrow is our Federal election. Quite civilized Only 5 weeks of campaigning, and it's done.

Happy Thanksgiving Day!

i'm curious -- Obviously, it's a day of family gatherings; is there a traditional menu like our Turkey and Dressing the US. What other traditions do you observe on your Thanksgiving Day?

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Tomorrow evening we will give thanks when the Conservatives and Harper are elected. Here comes the left to stomp on me. Better leave.

All the best.

I openly declare my affection for all Canadians and wish them a Happy Thanksgiving despite any repercussions it may have on any potential candidacy for public office.

Love you guys!

Consider yourself stomped Spacecat....
and Tuzilla....Ptarmigans are smaller than
Turkeys....we're not greedy!!!!

Hopefully if Harper does get in it will be with
another minority - and the Libs and the New
Dems can quash all his outrageous schemes

The Americans should have more Parties as
we do, so it doesn't give so much power to
one party and one person....

Thanks for the good wishes for Thanksgiving
y'all....yes our holiday is much like yours....
Don't forget this country was won by those
Americans still loyal to mad King George.

Happy Thanksgiving Day to the northernmost Americans.
The United States is very attached to you.

Special kudos to Matt Stairs.

Matt is a 40 year old baseball player [11 teams during career]. He is delegated to late inning pinch hitting duties mostly.
Although he has hit over 240 career home runs-

LAST NIGHT--- [October 13]

He hit the game winning home run for the Philadelphia Phillies who came from behind to beat the L.A. Dodgers 7-5.
The Phillies now lead the National League Championship Series 3 games to 1.

Matt Stairs was born in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada.

Go Phillies! Go Matt Stairs!
