Thanks Kelly! I bet "Go Phillies!" was easier to type than "Go Dodgers!" would ever be.

Dodgers "fans" like Rays fans don't deserve World Series play. In LA, they leave after the sixth inning (even with a no-no going) and the Rays fans don't go to the games at all. Marlins are the same too. Cities like Charlotte, LasVegas and even Brooklyn would show support a team needs.

Oh, Karen......(shakes head sadly)

Good thing Al is the diplomat or a Tex-type response would be coming that would peel the paint off the wall.

That win by the Red Sox, sad to say, may be just the motivation that will take them to the World Series. I'll be a National League fan this year if that's the case. Go Phillies!

Actually, Go Phillies!! anyway, did you see that catch Shane ( I think it's Shane) Victorino made against LA in centerfield? That was no routine catch! I was happy to see the Phillies win the pennant.

Go Phillies !

York rallies behind our Pennsylvania team.

Note to those two "swift bras" [aka Chickfbref and Knerd] above:

I'm from York and
I eat peppermint patties ---and that's the twoooffff!

Congratulations to Phillies but I'm still rooting for the Red Sox. I was there last night. Unbelievable comeback! I showed up at Fenway Park in the afternoon and bought 2 tickets (obstructed view)! I thought all the tickets would have been sold in the draw. I'd like to thank those two people who left our row when the Rays were leading 7-0, OOPS!, and the ones who didn't come until the 3rd. We were able to get unobstructed views for a good amount of the game as a result. I'm one elated Red Sox fan from the UK right now. I hoped but didn't really think I had a chance to see an ALCS game while I was here once my original application (via my friend) failed. Go Sox!

Steve, It is nice to see someone from the UK take interest in Major League Baseball. They should've put you up in the pressbox. I have never seen a game of cricket, but I've always been curious. About a year ago there was some type of World title for Cricket on cable and I would've watched it to learn the game. One problem, $29.95 per game. I hope you get to see
baseball free or cheaper than that.

I owe my baseball fandom to my idyllic childhood on Cape Cod. The Red Sox however weren't all that successful in those days despite having some great players. T.V. subscriptions aren't the only thing that are cheaper over here (USA). Tickets are too (not ALCS ones). By the way, I think you are referring to the Cricket World Cup. Cricket is a game with different nuances to baseball but some similarities and the atmosphere is different too. Where are all the Red Sox fans on this board?

I forgot to mention one of our T.V. stations shows 2 MLB games most weeks during the regular season and play-offs and all World Series games FREE! The only problem is the time difference which means the games start at 1.30 or 2.30 AM which means I am usually found dozing in my chair under the duvet by the 3rd inning if I stay up. We can get NASN with a dish and a subscription.
