For most of September and a "Short" time in October most of us rooted or thought about the Chicago Cubs and 100 years of futility. I am not the Cubs fan that Kelly (Chickfref1) is but one thing I mentioned in that never ending thread was what happens in Chicago during World Series time. ""THE WEATHER "" Right now it is raining and sleeting with winds up to 45-50 MPH.
Could you imagine sitting in those outfield bleachers enjoying our autumnal weather (now all night games). I have been following this weather phenomenum since 1984 when the Cubs allowed the San Diego Padres to take their place in the Series against Detroit. Seriously, every year, the weather totally changes the day the Series starts. Oh, another interesting fact, if
you want a holiday picnic or outdoor function ruined here, schedule it on Memorial Day weekend or the Fourth of July, same thing.

All one has to think of is the cold wet game that was Game 2 of the 2005 WS at US Cellular Field on the south side. Any game in the northern half of the US at this time of year has the possibility of rain.

If you want a monsoon, the Folk Festival will bring one in July. I knew there was a reason I didn't like folk music.

Baseball should be over before Sept. 20th, no later.

I'm staying in as much as possible this week. I took my flu shots last Monday and they should take effect soon. In other words three or four days of sneezing and headaches. Life is great, make yourself sick, so you don't really get sick. My two Labs don't want in, they're running all the time- to be young and full of energy.
