We are the Maples from Adrian High and we are heading into the Michigan playoffs like we do almost every year.I spend my Friday evenings each fall on the deck listening to the blue and white while consuming more than I should of Rum & Coke. I keep a fire going in my chimenea to stay warm but I think my neighbors suspect I am nuts. They may be right.

the Scotties -- have a long and storied history of being completely dominated by every and all football teams that they have encountered.
Our claim to fame is Russ Grimm, who coaches for the Cardinals, formerly for the Steelers and as a "Hog", won several Superbowls with the Redskins
My brother and I had a bonding moment, when we, dreamed of one of my nephews being the greatest football sensation in Scottie history....

in high school we were the Bledsoe county Warriors and our arch rivals were the Sequatchie county Indians. the banks in the respective counties sponsored a trophy, "Chief Roaring Eagle", to the winning team each year when to 2 teams fought it out. In the 70's the Chief enjoyed spending time in the Warriors' trophy case but i think he has defected to the other county in recent years.

We are the Rhea County Golden Eagles...but before they consolidated the schools I attended Rhea Central High School and we were known as The Yellowjackets. Although, I graduated from Lenoir City High school and we were the Panthers...Now that I have totally confused you...our arch rival was the Loudon County Redskins...and here in Rhea County it was the Spring City Bulldogs...Oh the good old days...

I guess by way of being the sports shuttle for my grandchildren I have to cheer on the Friendship Commanders in their dark green and gold. It has been so long since I cheered for my highschool but we were the Cumberland Indians. I think the building is now used for an elementary school. Our school colors were Royal Purple and White trimmed in gold.

Horace Mann Junior High Buffalos, and the Palo Duro High School Dons - Go Dons! (Even when the Hispanic population was a sliver of a percentage of what it is now).
We were, and they still are, the fighting blue and white.

We had the chance for state STOLEN by the Odessa Permian Mojo voodoo my senior year. Yes, that school on which is based Friday Night Lights. They are positively evil (unless, of course, some Sploofuser is a Mojo'er, and I'm obviously kidding - if not, I'm serious as a heart attack). We had a school assembly and watched the film of the deciding play by which they stole the game.

I attended an all-girl Catholic high school (St. Maria Goretti) so we cheered for the all-boy Catholic high school and they were The Pirates of St. John Neumann High School.

A few years ago, both schools were combined to create SS Neumann Goretti High School. Shame that didn't happen while I was there, could have been a lot more interesting.

I went to St. Rose High School. Our colors were purple and gold. We were known as the Purple Roses. You can imagine what area high schools used say about having a flower as a nickname. They're still saying it!

My sons all went to Wall High School, the Crimson Knights, much better.

Yep Bill...First class out of Wando. I'll spare y'all the alma mater.

Let's just say the band director wrote it one night with a muse and a case of beer. It eventually included somethingg about Indians floating in the river, like some sort of twisted Neil Young anthology.

Central High Golden Bears. Was the oldest operating high school west of the Alleghenies until they tore it down in 1972 when I was a sophomore there.

The Patterson Clippers, colors blue and white, from the Baltimore high school where Hairspray is set.

William Patterson was a colonial bigwig with a fleet of clipper ships, and his daughter Betsy had a thing with Napoleon's youngest brother Jerome. Patterson donated the land for Patterson Park near the original school, before it moved to the burbs.

Perhaps Not Interesting, But True.
