That is a neat site...there are two teams from Tennessee on the list...Maryville and one in Nashville...Maryville has won state in their division for the last 5 years straight!...
We'll be playing them in the playoffs...In the part where the local state teams are Greenback, which is in Loudon County has a 9-0 record! AWESOME...this is a small school too...haven't had this great a season since I was in high school back in the 70's at Lenoir City High School! Let's hear it for all the teams that made the list....Rhea County is ranked 9th in the 4-a region...Go Golden Eagles!

I noticed that 53 of the teams that made the top 100 list are from the South and most of those teams were from Texas!

Although not on this list, this year's Willam Penn Senior High [York High- my alma mater], has a very strong team.
We hope they win the District 3 [PA] championship and perhaps go futher.

Texas is a hotbed of football, for sure.

But Pennsylvania has the Penn State Nittany Lions and Joe Paterno!
Watch out Texas!

Hey, Al - the dreaded Permian with their Mojo (#41 - the Friday Night Lights school) is next playing Tascosa from Amarillo (the HS my middle school directly fed when I lived there the past 3 years). I hope Tascosa absolutely tromps over them. (Trinity just beat Grapevine - i used to teach at Grapevine MS)

Euless Trinity (#1) - Best choir director in Texas is there (I student taught with him) Really great band. Really good people and great sports. I hope they go all the way (with Tascosa 2nd! ha)

I LOVE watching the band at half time -- our little school district has a terrible football team but a TERRIFIC band -- I am always amazed at the work and effort that goes into a good band program!
