My girlfriend and I are headed to a Zac Brown concert and going to an 18+ haunted house. How bout you, any big plans?

If you don't know who Zac Brown is, I posted a song you might know
(Don't worry, its tame)

Having a costume party here at the apartment complex clubhouse, so no one is drinking then trying to drive home.

What are you dressing up as Oog? Sounds like fun! I'm dressing up as the devil from South Park, mainly because the mask was on clearance, lol.

sitting on the front porch in the dark with camera in hand and a .45 under my jacket watching for vandals. I used to really love giving out the candy and seeing all the kids in their contumes but last year I had more teenagers then kids and with one exception they were all rude. So with an hour to go I dumped my bowl of treats into the bag of the one child that said thank you, cut the porch light off and gave up. And in case someone is upset about the .45, it's for self defense only but I will defend myself.

Has it gotten that bad, Btsyshsbnd? I'm surprised teenagers are even trick or treating!

Oog, here's a party song for you, I'm sure it'll make your party a big hit. Ha.

Sitting around hoping for trick or treaters, watching scary movies, and trying to avoid eating all the candy myself. I miss the days of dressing up and going out to clubs and such but my hubby doesn't have much desire to do that anymore.

I'm gonna dress up like a pumpkin and sit on the front porch giving out candy . I'll be waiting to see my grand kids running up the sidewalk dressed up like little black cats. After they come I'll go inside, turn off the porch light, watch scary movies.......and eat the rest of the candy myself !

Keeping the porch lights off sounds like a really great idea for this evening! I'll dress up as someone who doesn't want any kids bothering me and stay a back room of my house in the dark..

I've never been a Halloween person, dressing up and going to goofy parties, I guess it is fun for many, enjoy. One of the more disturbing things I remember about Halloween was watching the TV series with Tim Allen, his wife and three sons. I think he played a home improvement guy on a show called "Tool Time". I guess this show was successful because it was on for about seven or eight years. Every year this jerk would spend elaborate sums of money for costumes and rigging his house to be a big Spook house, the blood and guts thing did get overdone. The door to door "Trick or Treat" stuff is done where I live but about 70% of my neighbors go out and leave their houses empty until the visiting is over. I stay at home and pass out candy to the kids and my two dogs go nuts, a big day for us is about 25-30 kids. I don't keep a .45 handy for vandals but I do have my cell phone set with "911" Speed dialing.

I'm going to scare little children by telling them the "truth' about that Muslim, Socialist, Manchurian candidate for the presidency -- Comrade Barrack Obama.

I will help my wife with the treaters by holding the dog who thinks all kids are coming over just to play with him. I keep him on a 20' leash and give him enough slack to stick his head out the door. I will only do this from 6 to 7 PM then she is on her own from 7 to 8 while I go out on the deck and listen to the Adrian high school playoff game. We usually get 125+ kids (some double dippers) so she will be busy while I selfishly gulp my Rum & Coke and enjoy (I hope) the game.

Going to the Mississippi Riverfront in old Gretna (the westbank of New Orleans) to hear a favorite band, The Bucktown Allstars, and eating Popeye's chicken. Unfortunately, trick-or-treating here mostly consists of thug children who come out of the hood and demand "stuff". The kids with means go to the "Boo at the Zoo", which is safe and fun.

I belong to VROC Foogs, mostly a bunch of geek-biker-old farts who ride their cruisers around the country holding events. The last rally we had in Lake Lure N.C. we raised a lil over 2500 dollars in couple of days for an afterschool program the local sheriff had started for latch-key children. It was funded solely by contributions like ours and provided a safe place for kids to go til their working parents got home. The sheriff was a really cool guy and was very tolerant of the more rowdy riders in our group. I also ride a lot on my sport-bike with a group here in town that is composed of mostly black and hispanic younger folks when I feel the need to get out of the geezer guise, haven't officially joined their club, just hang with them. It's fun when we stop somewhere in a group and start taking off helmets&gloves, out pops an ole white guy, get some looks from the redneck crowd.

I plan to lie in wait, in a large pile of leaves, for my nephews -- who will be our only trick or treaters....

I'm going to dress in white slacks with white blouse, pin red paper hearts on my clothes, wear a tiara and sparkly jewelry and go as the Queen of Hearts. I'll help hand out candy at Trunk and Treat at the church (people decorate the trunks of their cars and wear costumes and hand out candy to kids from all over town). A fun and safe way to enjoy Halloween.

Nice costume Pat, I never thought of that as an alternative to trick or treating at malls, good idea.

What kind of music does he play Lisa? Does he have a Myspace page??

Losing 25% of my total points on a SPORTS question. A sport I have never even heard of. Would type it but that is probably against the rules. Now I am off to the movies to see Changeling and Saw V. Wife is in Victoria visiting her mother . Happy All Hallows Eve to all.

well I got through the night without shooting anybody Other then a few far off gun shots it was really quiet. Maybe the word is finally out about that grumpy old man in the yellow house on the corner (cue the sinister laugh)

Btsyshsbnd, congrats on not killing anybody, lol! The concert was great, the haunted house was great but short. We had a good time. If you are ever thinking of whether to see The Zac Brown Band live, his is one of those bands that doesn't sound like crap live, he's great. Best Devil Went Down to Georgia cover I've ever heard.

I wish we got trick or treaters! But there aren't many kids in the neighborhood, let alone in our building.

It's noisy with revelers outside - still! - but we had a quiet night. I put on my cat ears and we watched "30 Days of Night" and the "Dawn of the Dead" remake.

There is a upcoming Clint Eastwood movie which is probably based on a grumpy old man. He's mean, nasty, has an attitude and carries guns. Could be called Dirty Harry on Retirement. Coming in 2009.
