Someone took one of my quizzes and got 100% but markled it a one. So I sent this message...was I wrong?....

Ty for taking my Simpons quiz today, and congrats on getting 100%. Maybe you could give me some feedback so I could improve my writing and not get a 1/10 from you the next time you take one of my quizzes.

TY in advance

thanks, I just realized he/she is one of the people who had taken my southern rock quiz I was complaining about in the other bombers post.

I certainly don't see anything wrong with your message! It definitely wasn't rude...

But score really shouldn't have anything to do with rating (in either direction)...However, this guy sounds like a definite bomber!

Maybe they were just confused and wanted to say they thought you were #1!!!

One of my quizzes was rated a 4 by the first person who took it (that's the only way I can figure that you know what an individual person gave a quiz). So I wrote to him, thanked him for taking my quiz, and asked why he only gave it a 4. He said it was because he did poorly. I was more polite than I felt, and we had a brief discourse about why he did poorly - he admitted he knew nothing about the topic - and I think I was able to convince him that he should be judging the construction of the quiz, and not how he did. I think I may have saved some others from getting bombed.

It's too bad we cannot tell how each person rated a quiz. That would be interesting.

I think you were quite polite.

I have never liked the wording of the different levels of the rating system. Just because a quiz is well crafted and researched, does not mean it is "fun."

I have equally enjoyed some very simple and some very complex quizzes.

Well, this person has now gone through almost all of my quizzes and gave them a one. I have no idea what I did to irk them...but there you go.
Thanks to the so kind boston baked bean who went through and gave me some high marks, this is how I know I am getting ones from the other person.
oh well, their work will be of little effect once the old stats are returned.
Oh, and I know it is personal, because they rate quizzes on average around a 6, so they only bomb me.

Why, oh why...I almost wish we didn't have quiz ratings! Almost...I mean I do like them, and the vast, vast majority of folks rate fairly. Bombers really irk me, though!

I'm also looking forward to the stats being restored...

It's always possible that the old stats were really lost and may never be restored!

I would suggest you send a support ticket to Justin - he will 'erase' the bomb scores and speak sternly to the bomber!

How does a dyslexic bomber score?

I think every quiz deserves a high score. It took a lot of time and work and research on the author's part and they deserve it.

Jo, your point is well-taken, but believe me, and especially in the pre-editing days (which I see by your icon you must remember!), there were definitely quizzes which didn't deserve high scores...For me, it's simple: If the quiz is well-written and well-researched, as far as I can tell anyway, it'll get a high mark from me. If it's poorly written and ESPECIALLY if it has a demonstrably incorrect answer, then I'm going to rate it low for sure. My own score on a quiz never has anything to do with how I rate it, though...
