They were from Sweden. The one is Red spent was sentenced to a pointless 1 Day in prison and the other spent 7 weeks in hospital. I don't know what they were high on but I think the reason the second one ran into the road was because they were twins.

In 1973 I was in a wreck on Chicago's Dan Ryan expressway. five trucks and three cars. I was in the middle and my truck was totalled. I got bruised ribs and shoulder. One of the people in a car had to be helicoptered to Trauma unit. Nobody died but four ambulances were used. My boss conned me to work the next day. I never forgot that and he paid for it many times. I retired in 2001.

We had a car accident patient come into our 8 bed ER -- drunk and high -- took EIGHT of us, including 3 police, 2 security, and full leather restraints -- just to hold him down on the cart -- it was all we could do to keep him down, let alone actually treat him -- we had notified the local trauma center for a helicopter as soon as the medics called in-- they arrived but we all realized there was no way they could take him, unless he was sedated and intubated -- (a breathing tube inserted) -- it was amazing how strong he was despite being badly injured.
I had a schizophrenic patient, who tried to kill himself buy blowing up the stove in the camper that he lived in -- had terrible burn from the waist up -- he let me dress his wounds and start one IV -- we called for helicopter for transfer to burn unit. As I was trying for a second IV, which had to be in his foot, due to both arms being burned.... I got the IV in, no problem, but it was then that he saw the "spirits" circling around us and going into his body through the first IV. He raised his leg and kicked me across the room -- I still have a dent in my collar bone, where my stethoscope was resting, and that was where he made contact with the kick. Months later, he came to apologize to me -- he remembered every detail of the afternoon -- it was heartbreaking, he really felt terrible...

I cannot believe that! Was she on something or mentally ill?
Believe it or not there is a place about 8 miles from me where a public footpath crosses a road with 3 lanes in each direction. The speed limit is 70 mph (it is probably 70 on the road in the film too) but some people drive much faster especially in the third lane. On Sunday mornings they frequently have a sale where people sell things out of the back of their cars. We call that a car boot (trunk) sale. There are a huge number of cars there. People also cross over the road to get to it and back later! I have seen them waiting for a gap to cross. Scared the heck out of me the first time I saw it. It's madness.

Amazing how patient the police and EMTs were! I don't know who said originally but its true: "In heaven, all the police are British and all the engineers are German. In hell...."

This would be a good commercial for why it's stupid to do drugs or drink or whatever. Did they ever release information on whether they tested positive for drugs or acohol?
