Give it a try and see how well you can do. I wasn't real thrilled with my score so I'm going to practice a few times (you East Coast folks tripped me up!). If you have grandchildren in elementary school, they might enjoy this, too.

Neat. It may have a flaw though. While placing Massachusetts it kept veering to the far left hand side of the screen. Scored a 96 and 3 mile error average. Thanks for sharing.

That was great fun! The order in which the states come up might make a big difference. Some locations are more distinctive than others. Will try it again.

Neat puzzle.
My Massachusetts was perfectly fair and balanced however.
But, some of those western states were farther right than I hoped.

I had similar trouble with Arizona and Alaska. It kept trying to repeat the past 8 pages.

96%, 11 mile error.
Now I remember my fave toy as a kid - a US puzzle, with each piece telling info about that state.
Can't believe I lost my footing on Arkansas - my SW Airlines hub neighbor.

I tried it again. This time Massachusetts tried to issue a marriage license to Virginia and Georgia. Then burst into flames.

96 percent and 4 mile childhood obsession with maps finally pays off.

If this is indeed paying off.

79%??? Ekk. Felix: I think Georgia tried to kiss Washington but his teeth got in the way.

That was Virginia. Georgia never kisses on the first date.

I would've been 100% but I was dragging wrong. I better watch that dragging word.

Out of three tries, my best score was 96% with a 4 mile average error. It definitely makes a difference what order the states show up in - if you get several coastal states early then the rest are easy - but placing those midwest states without any other reference points is tough!

And oddly enough, my puzzle pieces had no political leanings one way or another - I guess we all see what we want to see!

It would be a whole lot harder if it didn't tell you the name of the state.

No errors. I'm obviously too sober.

And too sober not to notice that Virginia's Eastern Shore sank into the Atlantic.

I took this a couple more times to see if we were all getting the same array of states in the same order. We do not. My first try was 96% with 5 mile average. Colorado was the first state west of the Mississippi River I needed to place. I missed it by enough that my other error, which was a small miss on a wide open North Dakota was enough to give me the 5 mile average.

The second and third try were slightly worse, trying to place wide open Tennessee, Utah, Kansas and Iowas made it really hard to recover.
