Why are all of the Word Puzzles preceded by a C?

The C means contest.

I have many "DUH" questions, Marsha. lol Actually wanted to post to show all of you my typing doesn't suck quite as much as have a new keyboard minus food and drink. My spelling will probanly still suffer though as my old mind avnd old fingers don't always agree. Have a nice rest of the weekend-Linda

I don't know how anyone could have missed all the threads about the WP contest - but check this one out:
It gives all the info!

The first two started out Puzzle 1 and Puzzle 2. I have been out of town and did not read the post on the 30th. Please excuse my ignorance.

Oh, and thank you Tresgatos for the civil answer. I sincerely appreciated.

Contest Puzzle #1 and #2 were practice puzzles to test the voting process. Only the puzzles that start with the C are official contest entries.

I'm sorry you felt my previous response was less than civil.

Koota, so glad you mentioned so I could tell this wonderfully uplifting thing that happened to me on Sunday. Those who "know" me are aware how ignorant I am in all things Computer. Went to Staples which is very close to my house thinking to buy another and knowing that Monday I would then have to call computer repair to hook it up.While I cluelessly pondered my choices a couple in their thirties approached me and asked if they could be of any help. Not only did they assist me with my choice but followed me the short distance home and hooked it up for me. They would not take a cent nor even let me they let me treat them to lunch despite my urgings. They left their name and number and told me to call if I needed them for anything. Restored my faith in human nature. Thanks again for your comment so I could tell this-Linda

Wow - how fantastic. Thanks Linda - I needed to hear a story about kind, unselfish people today.
