PUBLIC OFFICE

As I age I notice how much faster time seems to passs then when I was young. When I look in the mirror more than sure I don't see an accurate reflection. I haven't followed the news for quite some time as have found it depressing. I have pretty much limited my TV watching to movies. This election has renewed my interest in news as realize I am not insulated from the events out there. Have been struck by how much Pres. Bush has physically aged since first taking office. Have spent a bit of time on the internet following presidents. My estimation is that Bill Clinton weathered the best of those in recent years. If I am still around it will be of interest to me to see how this young very vigourous man looks after 4 or 8 years n that office with the weight of the world on his shoulders. This is of no real importance excet perhaps to those it affects and curiously myself-Linda

Linda, I also find it interesting and will watch as you will to see how Presdient-elect Obama weathers the years. We will also get to watch two little girls grow into young women. Since Barack began his run for the White House he has begun sporting several patches of gray in his hair. In an interview that included former President Bill Clinton he laughingly told Clinton that he had gotten the gray hair while running against Hillary in his quest to become the Democratic nominee.

If there is as much strife and terrorism during his administration as Bush faced, I will expect him to look much worse.

This will pretty much lead to a few gray hairs right off the bat.

Linda: The office of the presidency does indeed seem to age its occupant. I expect this to be true of Obama as well. Like you, I also find it an interesting item fro speculation.

Looking through an album of pictures for the campaign, I noticed that he has actually aged quite a bit just since he announced his candidacy! I'm sure I'd have quite a few lines in two years while thousands and thousands of people tried to dig up dirt on me to try to keep me from a job.

Remember Clinton had major surgery after he left office and lost a lot of weight; I suspect he looks younger now than in say 2002/3?

He is also proof that an active sex-life is beneficial to staying young.
