Although this form of self-expression may be new to me, I have found some recent thoughts pretty nasty, or even possibly insulting to other people.

Is it suppose to be totaly free expression of thought, or is there any control over what can be posted on the site?

Thank you.

What or who in particular offended you?

The idea of Thought Space is to have a blog, where all Sploofusers can have a daily journal of "what is on their mind". It is a free speech movement, and will hopefully lean towards a more academic or trivial approach.

I'm sure it was me, telling everyone to have a great day!

Does this mean that I have to have a thought?

If something offends you, tell the author and Sploof. The blog is just there to click on if you like...if not...don't click on it (just a thought).

Although in this world homogeny has become a synonym for non-offensive, it's the diversity of thought and the freedom to choose what we look at or listen to, that makes us who we are...we can pick and choose what we see and hear.

Crud...4 cents again...

I was reading a magazine and came across a nice quote and my FIRST thought was "I need to post that on my Sploofus Thought Blog!

Am I addicted, or what

Homogeny? Isn't that something to do with milk?

OK, I'm being thick.
I can see where to enter my own 'thought space'.
But how do I read others'?

When you click on someone's name - you get their profile and their thoughts. Me, I don't have any. Alice

2 cents - chat rooms are for being considerate of thy neighbor, but as soon as you open the door of a blog space, censorship would be as perverse as inviting someone to a nudist colony where everyone is actually dressed.

I agree, Jedley, but I would suspect and expect a certain level of decorum to prevail. I would be highly disappointed if this blog turned into a place for finger pointing and bickering. It would also be best that it not become of a cyber-war ground for political, religious or social ranting, raving or arguing. But that is just me, the proverbial seeker of peace and harmony.

I'm only using quotes that I have heard and actually like....the last one is from my favorite movie "Casablanca"....altho I might slip up and say "God Bless America" or "God Bless You" something else along those lines....would this offend anyone?

I agree! It is enlightening to have a chance to glance briefly into someone else's thoughts!! There should be no guidelines or prohibitions!

Thank you all for your thoughts. I think Tuzilla summarized very well the concerns that I had. I guess most of us are looking for peace and balance that we lack in the real world Thank you again.

I guess I was not specific enough...go figure...I have a bad habit of doing that.

I was specifically referring to the kind of posts that Vicrowe was talking about. If someone was meaning well, and someone else took it the wrong way. Like "God Bless You".
