GREAT HOLIDAY WEBSITE...

Last year or the year before, someone posted this website on Sploofus Island. For those who haven't seen it or don't remember it, I am posting it again.

It has a large variety of recipes for the holidays and many other interesting things.

Thanks, Marilyn, I had forgotten about this one. I need to bookmark it.

Occasionally, posters offer their favorite recipe (or as part of a quiz.) I've gotten a good corn casserole recipe (I believe it was from Chickbref) and who could forget the famous Turducken?

Thanks, Kim, that was hysterical! Kind of like one of those family Christmas stories you share and laugh over.

Here's a Corn Spoon Bread recipe that my family swoons over. It will clog your arteries faster than you can say "more corn thing please". I always have to make several of them - everyone goes for thirds and fourths.

Corn Spoon Bread

1 Can whole kernel corn (11-15 oz), drained
1 Can Cream of Corn, 16 oz.
1 stick melted butter
1 Cup sour cream
2 eggs, beaten to blend
1 8 ½ oz package corn muffin mix
¾ Cup grated cheese

Mix everything except cheese.

Bake at 375℉ for about an hour till center is set.

Sprinkle cheese over top and continue baking till melted, about 2 minutes more.

My sister makes the corn casserole every year and it's the first thing to be gobbled up. Absolutely delicious.

Marilyn
Thank you for posting the site again, I thought I had it bookmarked but somehow lost it.

Bigbird - couldn't help myself. Went to the store on my way to work this morning and bought the stuff from your corn thing recipe. Sounds fabulous. Thanks!

Just in case some of you missed this link. If you have youngsters to keep occupied, the games are fun (of course I had to try them out!)
