A community services project in York County, Pennsylvania, that started in 1993, has now found a home on the world wide web.
We have updated and revised pocket-sized books called the York County Youth Yellow Pages every two years since 1993.
The new 2008 book is the seventh revised edition.
The participating school districts in York County distribute them to seventh [7th] grade students.

Every year, we distribute approximately 5000 books through the schools and other human service providers.

Recently, I've collaborated with David Fraser [our own Davidf on Sploofus] who developed a new website and is the webmaster.

Several other communities in the country have started a similar project based on our model in the past few years.

Please visit the website- browse through its chapters- and sign the guest book if you wish. Please bookmark it for easier access in the future.

If you have any questions about the YYP- please contact me for more information.
Thanks to David for his wonderful support and talents

The address is:

Thank you

I noticed the sections on individual drugs didn't have any mention of chocolate, and I just knew Al had to have been involved.

Wow, David did that? And I thought maybe he just lounged around and played WR's all day!

A lot of powerful information in this. You put a great deal of thought into designing it. It will be interesting to hear about any feedback you get from the teens who have been helped.

Again, thanks to all who may have visited the website.

Just to add some additional details.
The Youth Yellow Pages booklet [in print form] is about 80 pages.
It's printed on yellow paper and yellow cover stock [isn't that a coincidence?]

I request that the schools distribute them to seventh grade students. This seems to be the appropriate [ages 12 or 13] group.

If you would like a print copy mailed to you to show to others in your family or to any community groups you have an affiliation, please let me know. My Labor Council is pleased that other communities are interested in developing a similar project for their youth.

I just got a request from the United Way in Lima, Ohio to permit them to use our book as a model.

Also, you can sign the guest book if you wish. No salesman will call.

Plus, again a big thank you for the talents of David Frazer [Davidf] for his skills as the webmaster.
Drop him a note of appreciation when you can.

He deserves your love!

Best wishes
