Loved the WP. I did catch a spelling variation on a person's name. It's different in the WP from the way he spells it. I sent in a Support message. Just be cautious...not sure when or even if it will be corrected.

Thanks, Al, I now have one of those songs playing over and over in my head and I can't get rid of it!

(great puzzle, though)

Loved it. Perfect WP for folks around my age.

Slicko, how did a know you had all those songs??? Too funny. Hubby says he had the "K-Tel" version of most of those.

Remember "Hey, I'll catch up with you later!"

Well, dangahoota. Again, I left for work before the puzzle went active and got home after it closed, so again I missed your puzzle. I wish they would institute a way to archive puzzles so if we missed it we could still take it. I know, I know. It's been cussed and discussed. I just wish.

I often say "Don't look Ethel" - as a matter of fact, I think I've stated in posts I started to make and then didn't so I don't know if it's actually in the writings anywhere -

Thank you to everyone who played this puzzle and added comments.
All posts were positive except for one "dangahoota" by my good friend Jank!
It appears we also have found out more about Slicko's music collection and personality. I suspected he would breeze through this one.

FYI--- I'll provide all the clues/ phrases upon request [via private message.]

I do want to acknowledge a spelling error that was my mistake.
In "A Letter from Camp"- It was ALLAN Sherman; not ALLEN. Fortunately, Maurlin/Linda caught it early and a correction was made soon after the launch. Of all names to mis-spell [I am embarrassed]

As punishment to me- I think I'll consider writing a "Part Deux" in the near future. There are plenty more novelty songs where these came from. I'll wait until I get "In the Mood" -- cluck cluck.
Break out those K-Tel albums!

thanks again folks.
Al

Fun puzzle, Al! My wife has not stopped singing, "Bop boppa oomma mau mau, boppa mau ma mau" since we saw the Family Guy episode with "Surfin' Bird". Great stuff.

Beth, that's a classic quote! "Hey good lookin'!" I know what my 4 year old is getting for Christmas! That is, if they still make those things.

Bop boppa oomma mau mau, boppa mau ma mau -- I'm doing a duet with your wife, John. Just hope I can get it out of my head when I go to bed.

As I said earlier...loved the WP. The song I kept singing was the Camp Granada one. Damn! I finally stopped last night, and now typing this message has started it all over again.
