I love a good mystery/thriller (preferably Sue Grafton or Dean Koontz). I have recently branched out into novels that make me search my soul but there is nothing like a good mysterythriller to keep me guessing. I hate romance novels, I refuse to read that smut.

I cut my teeth, so to speak on Encyclopedia Brown and Nancy Drew, followed soon by Perry Mason and Nero Wolfe, so mysteries remain my number one go-to genre.

Thrillers are another I like, but I'm kinda picky there. Mostly King, Koontz and I recently discovered Joe Hill.

Contemporary fiction/novels have become a favorite of late. I've read soooooo many good ones this past year!

Then comes sci-fi, but I'm picky here, too. Pretty much just Asimov, Bradbury, and Card, the ABC's of sci-fi.

Then I'll occasionally pick up some non-fiction, often autobiographies, but other things, too. Just whatever looks interesting.

I don't generally read westerns. I don't do romances. I don't like anything about vampires.
