When someone takes this puzzle and is able to work out who the mystery person is, would they please PM it to me? He sounds interesting but I've no idea who he is!

For ONCE on these mystery themes I figured it out on my first clue (I must have gotten the easy one)! Doesn't mean I placed any better then usual, but really enjoyed this puzzle!

After completing this very enjoyable WP and learning way more than I knew before about Garry's mystery person I can clearly understand why Garry chose him.

Barry, I really enjoyed your puzzle and did pretty well (for me) on it. But I can't figure out who the mystery person is. Would you please PM me on his identity? Thanks!

Enjoyed the quiz, learned some new stuff. In spite of all the Jabberwocky.

Loved it. Without one phrase (at least from what we had) that mentioned Alice. Amazing. (can say that now; time's up)

Great WP.

I'm glad most people enjoyed it.
I did not mention Alice but there were a couple of references that could have been googled (to eg chortle) and jabberwocky

Loved it, Barry! I was fortunate in being able to identify the mystery person after my first phrase. So, I thought about everything I knew about the person and his works and was thrilled when something anticipated appeared in a phrase. Great clues. Thanks for a really fun puzzle!

Fun puzzle, Barry. My clues were all a bit obscure, so I didn't really know who the person was. Still enjoyed it. Good job!

Mystery puzzles offer a big challenge up front. How many clues will it take?
Luckily, the Galumph and Chortle phrase was my first, so I googled to know who the mystery person was.
It's educational to learn so much about a famous person. I never was a big fan of Lewis Carroll but appreciate him more now.

Very well written.

It took me to my second puzzle to figure out the mystery person, but I didn't mind because everything there was fair and reasonable. A first-class puzzle, as usual!

I got that one first too, Al - made things a LOT easier, because none of my other ones would've given it away, I don't think.

A four for sure.
