On this 28th anniversary of the murder of John Lennon, I thought it might be interesting to discuss where we were, what we were doing, how we got the news, and how we felt after this shocking event.

It was a Monday night, and I was in the middle of watching "Little House on the Prairie" (which always made me cry anyway!) and then there was a "breaking news" report that cut into the show. I honestly thought it was some kind of prank until my ex-husband called me, like a minute later, to ask me if I'd heard, and then I realized it was true.

I felt shocked, sick, devastated, and just plain robbed of one of my life heroes for no damn reason at all.... senseless. I was in NY four years later, passed by the Dakota, and could barely even look at the building I was so upset.

And then there were three.

I can't believe no one else posted a response. Well I was x-mas shopping with my husband in Chicago. We were newly married and I was devastated. It was just crazy that someone could take him away. He was just realizing some great inner peace and happiness too. He is a great hero of mine and that is hard to do. Well at least we have all his great music. Thanks for letting me share. Bobo

Thanks for sharing, Bobo. I can't believe there were no responses either. I guess these forums are not too active? This is the only one I've ever been in, and I must admit I was hoping for a lot more interaction and discussion. Oh well!
