I am so confused.

I just took the "Television Sitcoms of Bygone Years" quiz, which is listed 5th in the Most Poopular Quizzes This Week. The MPQTW shows this quiz as having 251 total takers.

My results were 83.33% correct, and in the leaderboard list to the right of my score, it ranks me as being in 706th place.

How can I be in 706th place if there have only been 251 takers??????????????????

Anybody clear this up for me?

I just looked at the quiz stats, and when I clicked on View All Results this showed up: Leaders 1-50 of 865. The author joined in 2006 and 4 of the 5 quizzes she has written went live back then. My guess is that this is one of the Sploofus probably was written way back then and somehow got a new date assigned or attached recently. I don't know how that could happen, but I did notice something like that happen a while back.

I think the number of takers since Beta sploofus were introduced may be smaller than total number of takers, and the smaller number shows up in one place, the larger in another.

On thinking through it more, could it mean, that since it is the most popular "this week" that the smaller number is the number taken this week only, not adding in previous weeks? Any clarification, editors?

It is another problem with the Beta version, which was not ready for prime time when it was launched, and which has seemingly not been corrected in the slightest since it was launched.

The real issue appears to be the release date. It's listed in This Week's Most Popular Quizzes with the date of 12/11/08 as the date it went live.

Basically we are talking about a hobby and a game here, so let's not be too hard on Justin.
I think his wife gave him an ultimatum.....and weighed in the balance with his wife and kids
- not surprisingly - they won....
I believe he only makes enough money from subscriptions to cover the running costs e.g.
website related costs - and continues with it because it's his baby. I know I couldn't and
wouldn't make as many sacrifices as he has, to keep us all amused (and occasionally
a little annoyed)
Maybe someone who feels they could do a more thorough job could make him an offer for
all the work he's done so far - and then they can fix the problems, make the decisions and
deal with complaints in a more timely manner....

sincerely, Rowlanda
