Absolutely as dreadful as the last time. Shame on an editor for doing this again when it was so dissed before.

There was one word I absolutely had never heard of before. And the differents were, well, different. Not my cup of tea.

I enjoyed the previous ones as well as this one. I find it interesting figuring out what's similar and what's different. Anyway, thanks Sploofanote!

Two WordPuzzles I despised in one day--I hope tomorrow's are better, because this one was appalling.

some things I had not heard of - but love the fact that I know I'm not going see 5's or 10's on this puzzle - they have to be puzzled out...tends to even out the chances a bit for everyone

I thought it was interesting. The sames were pretty easy (I didn't find any of the words unusual) - but it's adding the different one that made it challenging. I enjoyed it.

Rowlanda, wait until Saturday morning. I guarantee a little discuss will be directed toward me.

I don't know how to react to this puzzle. It is definitely one of my least favorite ones. I have never previously had a top ten on these so I was an absolute bulldog on this one and spent 40 minutes on it. The advantage is that the bizarre word allows some players who might not otherwise finish up high to get a crack at a good score. The disadvantage is that once you are done with this puzzle there is not enough ibuprofen in the world to relieve your headache.

What I would have liked would have been if 4 words were the same and 1 word was an opposite.
The random nature of a different word made it so random...randomly speaking.

I didnt hate this like some of our other writers but it does puzzle me why (other than orneriness) the writer did not seem to heed the susensible suggestions of the commentators from last time and make the four of a kind but the exception a linked opposite.
Maybe that was deliberate but if so I'd like to hear why.

(I believe we DID have puzzles like this a few years ago and they worked)

I'm not allowed to bitch due to my # 1 finish I'm not sure why but my old brain was clicking last night if you can call it that with 40 moves.
