AL'S SNAPPLE FACTS

I just flat out enjoyed this one. Fun concept, Al.

Is there a Snapple flavor that goes best with chocolate and peppermint?

Chalk up another one for our Fearless Superhero. (Do you have both "WP" and "PP" emblazoned on your cape? )

I'm amazed at myself Guess my girls collecting these "facts" and reading them to me over the years has paid off.

I tried to do a quiz on these once and couldn't figure out how to do it, but this was great for a WP.

Thanks!!

I seem determined to lose my standing on the leaderboard for this month--I made three stupid mistakes leading to three wrong guesses and nine extra moves on this puzzle. And I have nobody to blame for it but myself. Argh!

Nope - You still got me. Is it cause I don't drink the stuff? I went on a Snapple Strike when they sponsored Howard Stern on TV.

I enjoyed the puzzle. Too bad I don't drink Snapple! I'll end up somewhere over 100 in the WP Leaderboard. LOL

Thanks to all 230 or so who solved the word puzzle. For the record, I have kept all the bottle caps from my Snapple’s [mostly Diet Peach] and they are in a hermetically sealed Funk and Wagnall’s manila envelope, which I keep in a now empty York peppermint pattie bag [ next to a mayonnaise jar under my porch.]

Based on the scores, it appears this was too easy! But most everyone enjoyed the trivia. The entire list of ten clues/phrases follows below.
I want to thank Sploofernatural for editorial support and questioning whether this was a legitimate puzzle that did not violate any copyright infringements. Since there are some websites that unveiled some of the facts that the bottle caps used- it seems to qualify as “pop culture.” Also, the editors caught one potential “boo boo” on my part. It was corrected before the launch today. So chalk one up for our great Sploofus editorial staff! I checked as much as possible for accuracy , and discarded any clues that have since became identified as outdated or false.

ALVANDY’S SNAPPLE REAL FACTS
PHRASE 1: ITS THE ONLY CONTINENT WITHOUT NATIVE REPTILES OR SNAKES
CLUE 1: ANTARTICA [I typed Australia originally- my boo boo ] [#120]
PHRASE 2: IT HAS THE HIGHEST PERCENTAGE OF PEOPLE THAT WALK TO WORK
CLUE 2: ALASKA [#22]
PHRASE 3: TOP OF THE BUILDING WAS ORIGINALLY BUILT AS A PLACE TO ANCHOR BLIMPS
CLUE 3: EMPIRE STATE BUILDING [#330]
PHRASE 4: DESIGNED BY BEN FRANKLIN ITS MOTTO WAS MIND YOUR BUSINESS [not "mind your own business" as the bottle cap used]
CLUE 4: THE FIRST U.S. PENNY [#163]
PHRASE 5: ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE SIX LEGS THEY CANNOT WALK
CLUE 5: DRAGONFLIES [#128]
PHRASE 6: THEY ARE THE ONLY MOBILE NATIONAL MONUMENTS IN THE USA
CLUE 6: SAN FRANCISCO CABLE CARS [#23]
PHRASE 7: IT WAS THE FIRST SPORT TO BE FILMED IN EIGHTEEN NINETY FOUR
CLUE 7: BOXING [#150]
PHRASE 8: ONLY PLACE YOU CAN SEE THE SUN RISE ON THE PACIFIC AND SET ON THE ATLANTIC
CLUE 8: THE COUNTRY OF PANAMA [I'd love to see that!] [#147]
PHRASE 9: ITS THE ONLY ANIMAL THAT CAN TURN ITS STOMACH INSIDE OUT
CLUE 9: THE STARFISH [#117]
PHRASE 10: THEY EAT THROUGH WOOD TWO TIMES FASTER LISTENING TO ROCK MUSIC [fans of Ron Wood and the Stones?]
CLUE 10: TERMITES [#33]

Hope you learned some new "real facts."

Al
