PING PONG FOR THE BRAIN

The following link takes you to a brain hemisphere game. On the screen will appear 2 simple tasks. On the left, a simple math problem; on the right, 2 colors that, when combined, make a new color (yellow+blue=green...only visually). Each problem is timed, and one can get up to 3 incorrect before the game is over. It's your left vs. your right...which will win?

I am near equal on both hemispheres, my husband is very left brained and had difficulty switching from side to side. But it's addictive regardless. It really does feel like inner ping pong after a bit.

Perhaps your husband is colourblind - like myself - and hence completely incapable of making the new colours.
I couldn't even see the OLD colours!

But I did get to write 'colours' with all those 'u's, so it wasn't all bad.

He isn't color blind, but I really should have mentioned that it would be nearly impossible to play if one was.

Poor Martin! At least you have a wife to dress you! Imagine the tragedy if you were to wear clashing tartan

He's probably just as glad not to be a Buchanan, you can actually hear that one.

No offense, Buchanans, I think it's lovely.

I'm sorry about your colorblindness, Martin. We have it in my family - my brother and my son. We didn't know about my brother until he was about 14 and came out dressed to go to school on morning in green pants and an orange plaid shirt.

"Damn, Timmy! Get dressed in the dark?"

"What? Plaid goes with solid."

"Yeah, but the colors don't go together."

"But they're the same color!"

With my son, I noticed him at three dividing his M&Ms into color piles, and all the reds, greens and browns were in the same pile. Knowing about my brother and female transmission of the gene, I knew what I was looking at and had him tested. When he was growing up I always shopped for him with this in mind, and we always decorated our Christmas trees with lots of blue and gold so things would be colorful for him, too. What's sadder than a brown Christmas? And he said the saddest thing to me once, when I'd stopped the car somewhere to take a series of pictures of a spectacular sunset, "I don't get why you get so excited about sunsets, Mom. They're nice, but it's just the sun going down."

Sorry to take your thread off-track, Lisa, but I never miss a chance to chat Martin up.

Wasn't 'Clash of the Tartans' an early 80's movie? I'm sre it starred Sir Larence Olivier as the spreme Greek god, Zes. And the hero - Perses - had to slay the Gorgon, Medsa.

Anyhoo, Mrs Familiaris is far too bsy to pick ot my clothes. My sartorial elegance is down to my daghter - she favors (dammit: that one looks ok!) eye-watering yellows.
Getting a diaper that fits nder my romper is the tricky part...

Interesting game. I'm more left than right brained, but just barely.

That's amazing - I'm pretty much equal both sides. I would never have guessed that. Interesting.
