My Friends lLst is short and diverse most likely because I tend to offend everyone equally. Actually, I am grateful that anyone has asked me to be their friend at all. That said have out of curiosity been looking at folks Friends Lists. Some Gold members have "no friends listed". Interesting to me that not all but a few Platinum flolks usually up there in level have "private" when you click on their friends list. As I said am grateful for any and all friends I have but am really curious how one makes their "Friends List" private. Most likely some simple as even simple computer things baffle me-Linda

Linda, go to your "My Sploofus" page, and click on "Settings" which is just under "Preferences" on the right-hand side.
Scroll down, and you can tick and untick all your preferences, including your "Friends" list.....private or public.

Cheers, Bev

Linda, I don't have any friends yet, but I do talk to people. I just haven't got round to working that out yet!

Thanks-don't know why anyone would want to do that unless they have people like me on their Friends List that would embarrass them by association-Linda

Crap, just remembered that you're on my friends list. How is it again that you make it private?

So I sent my daughter a Friends request about half a year ago. She still hasn't answered me. Think she's trying to tell me something?

I see the number has been expanded. I had thought mine was full, and turned down several. Now I see that I have more slots than I knew.

What are we suposed to do with a friend? I've got one. Do I need more? Will there be a party soon?

I just checked my friends list and it shows I have 29 on my list...I tried to add you to my friend's list Linda but it said no user by your name exists...Strange huh? I think the list should be expanded...I've had to turn away several because of the 30 friends limit...I have a lot more than 29 friends here on Sploofus...(at least I hope so anyway)!

So, prompted by this thread, I took a good look at my friends list. There are people on it that I honestly cannot recall who they are. I guess I should take them off - but that feels unfriendly. I wonder whether folks get a note that you have removed them, if you take them off your friends list. Actually, I probably should check to see if some of these people are even still members.

Alice, no-one gets a huffy "I don't want you as my friend any more" note. A friend and I experimented with that'un to see if a deletion or non-acceptance of an application would generate a programmed response.

I am pleased to report you may delete those folks you don't remember, and they will be none the wiser.

Cudji, Carol, Probably are other things but the main reason I have used it is to easily send them messages without going through the whole long player directory thing if they have not posted in a bit Sure someone knows or could find the number one can have on their Lists as Gold and Platinum. Linda, here's how to find anyone whenever you want without going through the directory: click on any username, then go up top to the address window of your browser and you'll see the username at the end of the address. Remove that name and replace it with the one you want and hit Go.

Thanks, Smoke.I was trying to find a logical answer to Carol's question as to why one might want to have a "Friend's List" If you have another an d the answer to the how many and all sure she would appreciate it Linda

I just checked my Friends List page and this was on the top :Friends List 100 max

I checked with a non-paying member who said her page shows a 10 friend max.

SO... Platinum Member 100 Friend Max
Free Membership 10 Friend Max

Is there a Goldf Member who will check to see what Maximun is listed, so we'll have the full report?

In additional to being able to send a message from the list, these are advantages I've found with a friends list:
1. On the main page it lists My Friends (Online) so I know which of my friends are currently signed in.
2. On the WPs I can see whether any of my friends have completed it and their rankings and scores without having to scroll to locate them. (My Friends List names are highlighted in yellow)

Also, on your friends page there is a link next to their name to send a message AND a link to see the quizzes they've authored, so you can easily find them!
