NEW RECORD FOR PENDING QUIZZES?

We must have some really prolific quiz writers at work now. I just submitted a quiz and discovered there are 301 ahead of mine. That's the largest group of pending quizzes I've come across. Has anyone seen more than than pending when a quiz was submitted? Impressive!

Nope, I was thinking the same thing, but when I submitted this morning, I forgot to look at what number I was, but last night is was 298 and I've had one accepted, so the editor/s are working on them, just slowly.

Please remember that we editors are volunteers. Just like many of you, we have paying jobs we must keep along with family responsibilities. Some editors have been on well-deserved vacations, some have been ill. Rest assured, though, that we're doing the best we can, not only to edit quizzes, Kerblunks and Trivia Squares, but to keep up with support tickets, make sure the WTHAI queues are maintained, keep the Tournaments running, write TQOTDs, write WPs, edit Platinum-authored WPs and do other editorial duties.

Remember the SQAG says that quizzes may take from 1 to 30 days to launch, depending on availability of editors.

We're here because we love Sploofus and love working with you players. We value all of you and greatly appreciate your contributions. Thank you for your continued patience.

Sploofunky-

I understood all of that and really wasn't being critical, as I did expect the big back-up in December. Guess we were just amazed that it got to an all time high and is still rising. But the down side is all of a sudden, all of my quizzes will be flooding out there and off the front page before people even known they are there.

Such is life

I'm sure another consideration is the growth spurt this site has undergone in the past weeks. If even a small percentage of those new players are submitting puzzles and quizzes, that has to mean a greatly increased number of things to edit. I'm sure no one is complaining about that, as growth is needed.

Maybe we should buy our editors a case of Ovaltine for added energy!

(that's what my mom made me drink because I was the skinniest little runt you ever saw - now look at me!)

I just posted a quiz, and it is at 311, so if you get in quick, you could get it up to 320, no trouble.

...ahem. Well...it's me.
I work on line and far into the night.
Writing a quiz is SO fun.
And interesting.
I've single handedly pushed up the quiz count.
Sorry.

Dwayla,

There's NO way we won't notice your quizzes. They are favorites.
You may have to resort to Infomercial Quiz Titles. lol.

Volunteers??? WOW. I'm extra impressed.

yah I just got a wait of 344! That is amazing. I'm excited about all the new choices we'll have. But if we keep up at this pace,
we'll age the editors before their time. Maybe this is "avoiding news of the economy" diversion? Everyone is writing quizzes?

Things are picking up. I have only 337 ahead of one I just launched. Editors must be working overtime for those of us who have time on our hands and keep churning out quizzzes...so much time on our hands that we add extra zzz's to words.

Well, I've backed off for a bit; found some other interesting things online. I did submit one yesterday only to find out that it'll be out of order for my parts. I think I did part 11 and part 10 isn't even submitted yet. Oh well, such is life

323 today. EDITORS - I have an excellent suggestion for someone that would like to be an editor (and no, it is NOT me!) who has the time and the smarts to do it. Do you have a suggestion box?

Oh Stop Bbear, I know you meant me.

I did score a 35 on my ACT, and am SO smart that I'm sure that I would scare the rest of the editors into hiding, but sheesh, don't call me out like this. It's embarassing.

Plus, it would be really difficult for me to be incognito when I respond to the dumbass quizzes they see "Hey dude, we've had our friggin share of Friends quizzes, so please do me a goddamn favor and expand your horizons past that one stupid TV show...sheesh".

But thanks for the nomination.

Me.

Couldn't go off to learn a new hike today because there is still snow at 900-1000 meters. Maybe Wednesday.

So I finished my quiz on Switzerland.

Queue at 350.

Patience, everyone!

371. 11 quizzes went live in the last 30 hours. I'm glad the editors got a well deserved trip to the playoffs for the Super Bowl or to the Inaugural festivities. Actually there really was way too much going on in the world yesterday to be able to sit by the computer. Playoffs, D.C. stuff, Israeli withdrawal news, W coming back from Camp David., etc. After Tuesday I'm sure things will speed up.

Hmmm, Maurlin, here's another guess you missed: It was Sunday. Maybe they went to church and enjoyed some time with their families.

I enjoy writing word puzzles , but haven't written any quizzes lately. No kerblunks ever.
There's plenty of finished quizzes out there to take as is.

Nobody wants peppermint pattie quizzes anyway.

Methinks some doth protest too much. The editors are working their butts off.

However, I did make a New Year's resolution to write "one lousy kerblunk"- I'll wait awhile.

My kerblunk probably will be lousy anyway.
It will be about peppermint patties ?

Yes indeed --well done the editrs.
The downside is that your quiz does not last too long on the first page of the site, but something has to go!

Keep up the good work, team!
