I know its bad form to complain to the setter but honestly.....

One of the unwritten rules is not to use impossible words; even worse is to throw in random single letters and expect people to be able to read your mind without wasting points and gos.

Have a little charity at this time of the 12 days of Xmas!

Other than that I enjoyed the puzzle a lot.

I actually did enjoy the play. I had no obscure single letters. Barry- I was expecting to see your name towards the bottom of the list after your complaint, but at this point you're still solidly in the Top 10.

I enjoyed the puzzle although I didn't do very well. I wish I had figured out the first four as easily as I did the random letter entry. That said, I can tell you that neither my husband nor my son-in-law would have gotten the random letter with ease so I understand Barry's complaint.

I thought it was a fun puzzle. The obscure letter was easy to figure out. I got the same mediocre score as usual!

Actually, the single letter just made logical sense to me, and I got it on the first guess (not that I haven't made plenty of wrong guesses too on these things!). Of course, if I hadn't gotten it, I'd probably be complaining, too.

I really enjoyed this puzzle. I thought it was timely, given some of us are making (and breaking) resolutions, and I thought the clues were excellent and the phrases fun to decipher. Clever and amusing, thanks Sploofusaurus!

I have had all of these at some point.
The single letter got us, but only to one move, so no harm no foul.

Fun one.

Great puzzle. I had the single letter too and figured it had to be one of two letters - and I chose the incorrect one on my first try. Unfortunately, too many of these are resolutions I have broken time and again!
