WP - SOLAR SYSTEM: THE SUN

I've amazed myself; didn't know I knew so much about the sun. For me it's a good score, tho others do so much better

Enjoyed it and thanks!

Re knowledge of the subject. Yes I cant say I went in with expectation of knowing much. The hallmark of a good WP of this sort is to tell you stuff you didn't realize you knew already or to leave you kicking yourself for forgetting stuff you should have had at the tip of your tongue.
And this quiz did that.

Agree with the first two. I thought this was going to be Google City and was pleased to discover that with some perseverance these could be puzzled out without help. Excellent WP - and no dead bodies !!!!!

Agreed with the above posters.
Any astronomy puzzle is highly anticipated by me. It's been my hobby since I was a kid.
I have a subscription to Astronomy Magazine.
Only one "google" was needed for a spelling check.

Enjoyed taking it.

I also really love the factual and educational WPs just as much as the ones with wordplay or puns. I too am an astronomy fan and was happy when Galileo was a WTHAI puzzle back in November. Anyway, guess what? 2009 has been designated as the International Year of Astronomy! Here's a link to some info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Year_of_Astronomy

Anyway, thanks for a fun and very interesting WP, Sploofusaurus!

Enjoyed this puzzle, too. Always glad when I can learn something new and not have to use up the alphabet to do it.

I also thought I would be at a loss on this puzzle, because I have not had a special interest in astronomy, but found it easy enough to do. No, don't go looking for my name among the top scorers. I didn't do THAT well.
