2 GROUPS NEED PARTICIPANTS

A group is getting underway in the Bible Trivia/Religion group. The object is to read Revelations, one chapter a week and then discuss it Monday through Friday.

The goal is not to ridicule or try to change anyone's beliefs but to simply share where each one of us is in our journey of faith and to perhaps examine others' beliefs to see how that compares or fits in with our beliefs. It's to be nonjudgmental and nondenominational.

The second group is the Pet Owners. There are several discussions that have begun. I just recently opened a new discussion on whether you've ever had a pet save your life -- and of course I had a story to share.

Please feel free to join either of these groups.

Well.. while we are making requests now that Justin has returned.. ... I think it would be great if we could receive a notification (maybe through PM) if a new post has been added to any group you belong to. I often forget about them as, when I do visit them, there has not been much activity (if any) since the time before.

LisaP,

I'm not trying to be contrary, or difficult - but there are so many other fine tunings that we need at Sploofus, that I would prefer Justin's talents go to address those instead of fixing it so we get emails when someone posts to groups that we joined. Personally, I feel that it is our responsibility to look in periodically, and post something ourselves if we feel the group in languishing. Just my unsolicited opinion.

Even with emoticons, sarcasm with humour doesn't translate well... although I still do think it's a good idea, I realize Justin will be mighty busy if he has, in fact, turned his attention to all that needs tweaking around here. I thank you for your opinion just as I'm entitled to one as well. Have a great day!

There's no rule that says we can't put that suggestion on a wish list. I'm sure Justin will prioritize our many wishes.

In the meantime, I hope both of you have checked out both groups and contributed to them. I haven't looked at the groups yet, but I'm anticipating that at least some people have checked them out.

Lol, I posted something like this awhile back for one of the aforementioned groups, and didn't get any responses, maybe it was too late at night. Nice work Pat...

BTW, I agree that a major obstacle to the groups is that we are constantly getting kicked out....it may not be a huge deal to re-sign up but it gets old after awhile.....

I just wasn't kicked out of the pet owners group - I've lost the whole group! It doesn't show up at all.

I wish I had saved a copy of what I wrote about my dog that saved our lives. Darn!

Sorry Pat... It must've just gone through a fresh bout of kicking people out, I had to re-sign up for the groups again. Oh well, they're worth it.

Oh - that's so sad. But I'm glad I had just joined the pets group, and I got to read what you wrote, Pat, about your dog saving your lives by waking you up when you had the propane leak. I'm so glad I got to read it before it disappeared!!!!!

It looks like the Pet Owners group is back again. It's a little spooky! Now it's there, then it's gone, then, poof, it's back again.

I think I need a Tylenol and a nap. BBL
