HERE'S SOME SNOW!

My brother took some pictures of what it looks like on his street after a Chinook wind blew in on Friday night. We live in Lethbridge, Alberta and have had a terrible winter so far. Way too much snow for my liking!

Eeh gad. Now I remember why I left Wisconsin! I'll keep that picture to remind me again in the middle of a Louisiana August.

WOW! I can't imagine trying to take care of that! Thank you so much for sharing the pictures. VERY interesting. Guess I wont complain about the little frost and fog we've been having in California!

Wow, that's some serious snow.

I spent a few days in Lethbridge Thanksgiving 1961, attended a wedding, and continued on to Banff. We were traveling from Gonzaga in Spokane with a schoolmate who lived there. Great town!

Abby, your brother must have a very good camera - the image in that picture just popped!

I just wish you Canadians would all keep your snow and cold winds to yourselves. I much prefer my moisture to come as rain in April and May.

But after a year of above-normal moisture, after 8 years of drought, I will not really complain about any moisture.

It is a few years since we saw a bit of the white stuff here, even though we are further north than most of ye in the States. God bless the Gulf Stream

If we had snow like that in NJ, the schools and businesses and roads would close for three days. A state of emergency would be declared and emergency personnel only would be allowed on the road! That sure represented alot of shoveling and/or snow blowing! Oh my aching back!

Great pictures!
