Great tribute to the home of the soon to be super bowl champions - the ones from the WESTERN end of the state
Thanks Al
But why is it my %$^&#* beeper goes off right in the middle of the WP? Forced me to put in a few more letters than I wanted to just to finish it up.

Glad that P A will have the Super Bowl champs.
Except, it might be from the EASTERN side. We'll see.

{Ssshhh- I have a quandary - I still root for the Ravens. ]

I'll post all ten phrases later, [but there is one puzzle that has a boo boo in its wording.]
Have requested a correction; perhaps it has gone unnoticed.

The boo-boo has been corrected. No complaints - only the author knew for sure!

Thanks to everyone for taking the puzzle and hopefully, picking up some new trivia facts.
It appeared that the scores were competitive and everyone seemed to enjoy learning about the Keystone State.
The "boo boo" mentioned was in the Bill Joel clue: "Allentown A Song About Economic Downturn" was originally submitted as "Downtown". I noticed that mistake after the puzzle was launched and put in a support ticket.

Thanks to Sploofinder for that quick correction and my editor, Sploofernatural for editorial advice during the process.

Folks who had the "Punxsutawney Phil" clue had to endure the word "prognosticate" which I labored to find a way to include that 13 letter word. [the maximum length of a word allowed].
Wait for February 2nd and see if we get an early Spring in the Eastern U.S. or have six more weeks of Winter. [No please!]
In the coming weeks watch TV for the great film starring Bill Murray and Andie McDowell called "Groundhog Day" to get insight to the special activities in Punxsutawney, PA that day.

York PA did get recognition! I insist we are the first capital of united states.

Sorry- no peppermint pattie questions [this time!]
Other famous Pennsylvania locations might make part deux.

Here is the list of 10:

ALVANDY’S PENNSYLVANIA TRIVIA
PHRASE 1: FAMOUS GROUNDHOG WILL AGAIN PROGNOSTICATE THE WEATHER ON FEBRUARY SECOND

CLUE 4: BILLY JOEL [1982]
PHRASE 5: NAMED IN HONOR OF ADMIRAL WILLIAM PENN FATHER OF STATE FOUNDER WILLIAM PENN
CLUE 5: ORIGIN OF OUR NAME
