I am on the board of directors for our local United Way. To increase our visibility in the community and to help people know more about United Way, I want to put together a newsletter, probably one sent by e-mail at this point so we do not incur more expenses.

I have some ideas of what I want to incorporate, but I was wondering if any of you are involved with your United Way and get newsletters. I would like to see them and hear any comments you have about a newsletter or your newsletter.

Alvandy, I know you are involved with yours, and of course, your United Way is much larger than ours. We are in a community of about 25,000, so that will give you some idea.

Thanks for any ideas you can share with me.

If you google "United Way Newsletters", there seems to be lots of them on line. Hope that helps.

Although the "e-zine" type of publications have become popular and make sense as far as saving paper, I personally would rather get a newsletter via good old-fashioned snail-mail. I find that this way I can take it with me and read it at my leisure no matter where I am. When I get a newsletter via e-mail, I usually delete it without even looking at it, even if I have signed up for it.

Well, DUH, Abby!!! Why didn't I think of Googling for it? That is such a simple answer. Thank you. Sometimes I tend to overthink a problem and make it much harder than it is. I'll go see what I can find. Thanks.
