ARE YOU IN A DEEP FREEZE?

In West Tennessee the wind chill is 0 degrees right now with no promise of warming up much for the next few days. We have a wind chill warning and could be 3 below at nights.

I think it is probably colder in the North and the Northeast.

What is you temperature where you live?

I live in beautiful Valparaiso, IN., the temp outside is five below zero and we have about ten inches of snow. Also, the wind is blowing at 15 mph! Valparaiso is located in northwestern IN., about 15 miles south of Lake Michigan. Stay warm. Jorboo

Last night here in Ottawa it got down to -40 with the wind chill which is the same in F or C and the transit strike reaches day 38. Good thing my car has a block heater and a new battery.

It is 36 here....supposed to get up to 39 so right now, we certainly are NOT freezing. You people stay warm. Of course, it is really easy at night when I have all seven cats piled in the bed. It is hard to even turn over.

I think you're all getting the weather we had last week. Today in sunny Sothern Alberta it's 5 C (41 F) and it feels wonderful after all that freezing weather. Best of all, the sun is shining and I love it!

It is 72 here on the shores of Lake Erie. The sun is out and I am sipping Mai Tais

OK really it's 9 degrees F, we have 20 inches of snow on the ground and another foot plus on the way. We have already passed our usual snow total for the whole winter and are on record setting pace.
This weekend I will be listening to CDs, watching movies, and hopefully spending some QT with the coolest bunch of trivia buffs in the world.

Deep Freeze here in Montreal. Our weather is like Ottawa - very cold especially with the wind chill factor. Hope it warms up a bit. I feel bad for the homeless people and animals (cats, etc) - a bit too cold for my liking. I walk to work and back so I bundle up really well. No one recognizes me! LOL!

Stay warm,

Jo

In my part of Middle Tennessee, it's 16 degrees, got up to 19 today, and going down to 3 tonight and maybe lower in the outlying areas. Hate it, hate it, hate it. If we could have gotten a little snow, and I do say little, just enough for a snowman then I wouldn't hate looking out at the bare gray trees and the dead grass. I live to see the green haze in the trees that comes with springtime.

Currently it's about 17°F in the Delaware Valley. Tomorrow it's supposed to be about 8°F with lots of wind. In my mind, however, I'm in my hometown of San Diego, where it's sunny and 75°F.

It was about 74 this afternoon and I had to turn the AC on in the school van as I drove dancers home from a field trip (too windy to ride on the freeway with the windows down).

Sorry. NOT! (but you can all laugh last when I'm sweltering in 119 in July).

Does it count that I got to play in the snow in the 20s in Seattle at Christmastime??

20 in Decatur - no wind. There are lots of days in the Dallas/Fort Worth area that are heater in the morning/AC in the afternoon from solar heating in the vehicle. (Certainly not that way in the house.)

Our furnace couldn't keep up with the -20 outside with -30 to -40 wind chill factor. It ran all night and still the temperature IN the house dropped a couple degrees; thankfully, the temp is back to where it's been set at 70, but the furnace is still running. DH said all the lights were flashing, so it's working ok. Just worried that it needs a rest.

At 8:17 in Southeast Tennessee right now it is 15 degrees...the high today was 19...suppose to be in the single digits here tonight...School was called off here today because of the cold temps and the wind chill here...The heating systems couldn't keep up with the cold and alot of the kids had to stand out in it to catch the bus so they called it. At least my boys are having a 4 day weekend as they are off on Monday. Snow is in the forecast for Sunday...hope it snows enough to make some snow cream...
