LITTLE GAL LOST

Ugh!

If my third puzzle had been my first, I would have tanked big time.

I don't usually eat a peppermint pattie this early in the morning. Exception time!

I did tank.

I DID just get the theme, wish I'd gotten it when I was doing the puzzle!

My thought as I was doing this (and I'm not tyrying to be mean) is that this is the type of puzzle where it would help to know the author and know how s/he thinks........

I got it after the first puzzle, but I still ended up with only 2,500 points.

I really liked it - I got the theme after my first one (not before, unfortunately!) and the rest was just fun.

Nice one!

In spite of my final score I did enjoy the WP. I even got one with no letters used. I then made up for it with many many more on the other ones. I wouldn't mind having more like this...just not right away.

On one of mine....two answers would have worked just as well and naturally I guessed the wrong one AND another of my wonderful typos. aaarrrggghhhh Clever and different.

I liked it and hated it: I laughed I cried; I cursed I cheered. Probably for something completely different and off the wall it was actually pretty cool. Then again

Didn't get the theme connection until the last one and lost 2200 points which wasn't good, but I usually do on the ones with few letters as I usually guess the wrong ones.

I caught the theme early on--but it's those three- and four-letter words that kill ya!

It was fun but it was hard. I didn't catch the theme until my very last puzzle.
Ah! All's well that ends ... preferably well.

So much for taking a break from the series....
I got the theme at once and was lucky enough to guess three or four without more than a letter or so.
But number 2 was.... well, number two sums it up nicely.

After I ate my peppermint pattie this morning for stress relief- well ,let's just say number 2 sums it up.

I'm ducking, but I actually liked it a lot. I got lucky on my first one, and got the theme right away; was able to do the first one without any letters. Once I got it, the others were fairly easy to figure out.

I really like this kind that you cannot google.

Sorry Jank, your post had to be killed because you gave a really strong hint to the theme of the puzzle. Really strong.

It was very clever, though. Please feel free to repost the comment after the puzzle finishes.

We liked it. Plenty head scratching, but was able to "get it" with the first one.

Jank - put up your original comment at 7:00, might start a cute thread.

I wish I'd read Jank's post first, then I wouldn't be planing to join Tallactor. Actually I've been thinking of joining Tallactor & Kaelin for over a month & it's not the members puzzles that are the problem.

Well, I think the WP is REALLY over now (so sorry I lost track of time).

My post was to Bigbird:

I guess you picked up the instinct for it when you visited the apagos islands!

My apologies to those of you who lost a lot of points and had no fun, as my intention is always to write fun puzzles.

apagos islands was a candidate for a phrase as was tegucipa honduras and several others.

I do appreciate the feedback, and if I decide to do another one like this in the future, I'll try to give you more to work with so you don't feel like you're making random guesses.

I'm pleased that some of you enjoyed it -- thank you.

Now, we're a community here. We're not just editors, we're your friends. So, how about a campfire sin ong? Row, row, row your boat or Kumbaya anyone?

Sploofunky, I really liked this WP.... mostly because my first phrase was Florence Nightine and the clue was very helpful... but I lost several extra moves by insisting it was spelled Florence Nightengale before losing the "gal". Sigh. Guess I should have googled this one! Ha!

I'm a little slow catching on to some things - I caught on just after I hit the button to submit the final puzzle. I think I had the Florence Nightingale one at the end, which is what gave it to me. (sigh) Then I wished I could go back and redo my puzzles!

I never did catch on while I was "enjoying" it. It took a little peppermint patty bird to explain it after I languished in shame. I hate when I miss how fun these things are just because I can't figure it out when it counts...
