IT'S SNOWING AT MY HOUSE...

Anyone else getting the white stuff? Roads are already slick and there will be ice before morning they say...The mountain roads are already white according to the Sheriff's department here...and would you believe they wanted me to come into work and drive across said mountain...Tomorrow I'll try it but not today or tonight...Hope everyone is having a good one...

Do you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle?

Its been spitting tiny snowflakes all day. It is picture postcard perfect here now, looks exactly what you would think Pennsylvania should look like when its winter.

Jank I have a pick-up truck that can pretty much go through anything but the hubby drove it to work this morning...My van wouldn't make it up the mountain..there has already been several accidents according to my son's scanner..(he's a volunteer firefighter)...there is ice underneath the snow. And as anyone can tell you, people in the South do not know how to drive in this stuff! ROFL...The store shelves I suspect are already bare...

We are now up to 112 inches of the white stuff - will be glad to ship you some.
The funny thing here is that folks actually drive very well in the snow. But for some reason dry pavement really throws them for a loop.

hahahahaha - sounds like Dallas! ha

Vickie - I'm just thinking about you, then. Praying for your safety if you push out there tomorrow.

I didn't have a 4-wheel drive my first year in Amarillo. I singlehandedly prayed Amarillo into a drought that winter because I was scared to death to drive to 4 schools a day in snow and ice. The 2nd year there, I bought a 4-wheel drive vehicle and it snowed all the time. But that 4-wheel drive thing is amazing in snow. I quickly gained confidence and not only had no trouble, also got to help a few people in ditches. It made all the difference in the world that winter and the 2 that followed.

Thanks Jank I really appreciate it...It snowed when I lived in Texas...My neighbors blamed me for it as they hadn't had any in like 4 years before we moved there....LOL

We have a chance of flurries tonight, Vickie, but hope it isn't much as I don't miss the snow.

Be careful while you're driving on it, especially on a mountain!

Yep.. I'm not far from Wendy... thank goodness the snow stopped... I've had the stomach flu all weekend, my daughter has been buried with culminating assignments and exam studying therefore, my very large driveway has not been shoveled .. to top it all off, my eldest daughter was borrowing my car on Saturday and wiped out on the slick roads.. she's alright but the car wasn't so lucky. My mechanic says "call your insurance company".... Aaahhh I LOVE winter - NOT!

I think we had some snow in NJ today...sounds a little odd I know. I was in Connecticutt for the day visiting my brother and it snowed most of the day. It was terrible driving home until I got to NY, then just wet. Too much construction too, will they ever finish the roads between NY and CT? No lights and no lines-it'll drive you crazy!

Hang on! It's supposed to be about 65-70 today here in Nebraska. (I haven't stuck my head outside yet). Warmer weather may be headed your way.

It's 68F and sunny here in Colorado. Except for the brown grass and leafless trees, it could be June.

Well, there is nothing like snow to take your dignity, I went to the mailbox, in shoes totally inappropriate for 8 inches of snow, landed on my butt and figured out I should just make a snow angel while I was down and get over it!
Its more fun when you are 7, trust me!

Good thing you hadn't just made a touchdown in a football game. They'd be fining you!
