STEELER BABY

Sorry kids, but I am having the time of my life with the Superbowl, I know there are some with slightly less enthusiasm but what fun is that???

A Pittsburgh Steelers fan is drinking in a Cleveland bar,
when he gets a call on his cell phone. He hangs up, grinning
from ear to ear, and orders a round of drinks for everybody
in the bar, announcing his wife has just given birth to a
typical Pittsburgh baby boy weighing 25 pounds.

Nobody can believe that any new baby can weigh in at 25
pounds, but the Steelers fan just shrugs and replies:
"That's about average back home, folks, like I
said, my boy's a typical Pittsburgh baby boy. He's
gonna be a Pittsburgh Steelers football player."

Congratulations showered him from all around, amid many
exclamations of "WOW!" One woman actually
fainted due to sympathy pains.

Two weeks later, he returns to the bar. The bartender says:
"Say, aren't you the father of that typical
Pittsburgh baby that weighed 25 pounds at birth?
Everybody's been making bets about how big he'd be
in two weeks. So, how much does he weigh now?"

The proud father answers: "Seventeen pounds."

The bartender is puzzled, concerned and a little
suspicious. "What happened? He already weighed 25
pounds the day he was born!"

The Steelers fan father takes a slow swig of his beer,
leans into the bartender
and proudly says:

"HAD HIM CIRCUMCISED!!!."

GO STEELERS

Well the beauty of the Superbowl for me, and maybe for Bill Cowher too, is that several former Steeler coaching staff are at the Cardinals. Russ Grimm was a year ahead of me in highschool -- our school is very small -- so his career in football -- not just with the Steelers and Cardinals, as coaching staff but with 4 Superbowl wins as a Redskin, is classic American tale of local boy who did good! So while I am rooting for the Steelers... and I can't begin to tell you how excited the whole area is, this Superbowl is just going to be fun for me all around!

Enjoy the Super Bowl, Pennwoman. A native Cincinnatian (yeah, the baseball is bad too), I only root for the Steelers against the Cowboys.

They should win, but I hope the game is entertaining for all.

First I have nothing against the people of the fine city of Pittsburgh. Been there saw the Pens play and Mario scored a goal in that game. But when it comes to the Steeles, I hope they lose. After 40 years of mediocrity they have risen since 1972 and the Immaculate Reception to win 5 Super Bowls (2 against my favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys)and poised to win a sixth. All I can say is

"GO CARDS GO"

This is for you Andy!

Four football fans go rock climbing one afternoon, a Bengals fan, a Browns fan, a Steelers fan, and a Ravens fan. They had been arguing all the way up the mountain about who among them was the most “die-hard” fan.

Upon reaching the top of the mountain, the Ravens fan proclaimed to the other four… “This is for the Baltimore Ravens!” and promptly threw himself off the mountain as a sacrifice.

Not to be outdone by a Ravens fan, the Browns fan jumped up and said…”This is for the Cleveland Browns!” and then threw himself off the mountain as a sacrifice.

Refusing to be outdone by the Ravens and Browns fans, the Bengals fan rose to his feet and yelled at the top of his lungs “This is for the Cincinnati Bengals!” and shoved the Pittsburgh Steelers fan off the mountain.

Thanks for that. Not sure a Bengals fan would be that smart, but it does fit their criminal image

I'm really a Reds and Bears fan. I had already left for good when Paul Brown and the Bengals arrived. And now the stadium (Riverfront) they built for the Bengals is gone, replaced by two stadiums for two bad teams.

I'm an NFC fan and thank God the Eagles got beat by the Cards so I can root for the NFC. I was cheering for the Steelers all the way in the AFC championship, couldn't stand to see the Ravens go to the Super Bowl! The Steelers may appear to be the stronger team but you never know...I just hope it's a good game!

It's great to see your enthusiasm, Martina. It's so much fun when your team goes all the way. I hope you have a Steelers shirt! It's a requirement! At least in our house it is....for the Giants of course (sob).

Oh the shirts! I have a wonderful Willie Parker shirt that a wonderful man bought me once when we were first dating -- smart to go the Steeler route to my heart! I wanted the Jeff Reed or Troy Palamalu shirt until he told me that everytime he buys a shirt the player leaves..... I adore Willie Parker but couldnt take a chance on # 3 or # 43

And then I discovered the best of all girlie shirts -- soft tee material with the Steeler logo done in sparkley stones! I'll post a pic!

Don't bother to post the image unless the sequins are real ones from the mines of Tennessee.
