Is anyone here a practitioner, or has anyone benefitted from Reiki treatments?

I don't know much about it, but I have a friend who practices regularly and swears by it. I understand that it is very healing. Good luck!

I have a friend who is a Reike Practioner, and she said she can do it
long distance by phone....
She offered to work her magic with me over the next few weeks, even
though she's in British Columbia and I'm in Ontario.
[Actually - I'm hoping once I go into the Hospital they will keep me asleep
- or at least high - for at least a month....I'm going to think of it as protracted
Childbirth/Dentistry.... So just pass the Laughing Gas]

I used to be a skeptic about Reiki (a.k.a. healing touch), until I spent a few years working at my parent's hospice where most of the nurses and cnas are trained in Reiki. I heard wonderful reports from the patients who opted to include Reiki in their treatment. Myself, I haven't received Reiki consistantly enough to attest to any long term benefits, but I can say that when I have a killer headache or migraine nothing works better than a quick Reiki pain drain session. Hope this helps.

I've experienced amazing benefits from brief exposures to it. Am wondering if I'm crazy (although I've had shiatsu and chiropractic treatments too, and they worked). Thanks for the responses so far.
