Nice job, Suzannec!

I would have done better on the WP, but I was just an egg in the 50's.

Another really fun puzzle - thanks Suzanne

I cant believe what I did on my last puzzle; TWO misguesses on one word wasted eight guesses.
Most enjoyable puzzle.

I'm so young and nubile I had to ask my mommy to tell me what the 50's were!

My hubby, however, knew all right away.

(actually I'm the one born in the 50's and hubby wasn't even a glint in his daddy's eye during that time)

Excellent quiz.

About the best score I've had on a WP - I remember well all of the events except one puzzle that I had. Ah, the 'good old days.'

I'm AARP eligible so I enjoyed the trip down memory lane.

Peppermint patties were around then, but not as nationally known as today- so the puzzle about the Peanuts comic strip was my favorite clue and phrase.
Good grief!

Great puzzle!

Fun puzzle and if I hadn't used letters on each puzzle I am sure I would have done it in 5

Thanks for the nice notes everyone! I missed the fifties by a hair but love to see it portrayed in movies and television shows.
Here are all the phrases:
1 – “Another Fab 4” Elizabeth Taylor was married to four different men in this decade.
2 - “A USA salute, 1954” Veterans Day was celebrated for the first time on November eleventh.
3 – “Anaheim CA, 1955" Disneyland theme park opened at a cost of seventeen million dollars.
4 – “Rx –1955” The first polio vaccine was declared safe and effective.
5 – “A decade of baseball” Yogi Berra was chosen as most valuable player three times in the fifties.
6 – “A royal year, 1952” Princess Elizabeth of Great Britain became Queen Elizabeth II.
7 – “All uphill from here ‘53” Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay reached the top of Mount Everest.
8 – “Good Grief, it’s 1950” Charles Schulz began writing the Peanuts comic strip.
9 – “He is in the building” Elvis Presley made his television debut on Stage Show.
10 – “007 is born!” Ian Fleming wrote seven James Bond novels in this decade.
