10,000 MEMBERS MARK PASSED!

Just noticed, we now have 10,014 members - did anyone notice when we actually passed the magic number, or who it was?!

I was watching very carefully last night, but due to the fact that the number of users reflects ACTIVE users only, it goes up and down as the computer deletes users who have been inactive for 60 days (I believe it's 60 days...it might be 90).

So, we passed the mark last night, and then dropped back down below, and now are up again! I hope it stays up there!

Aww - so we can't really say that "so-and-so was the 10,000th member", then?! That's a pity!

Just a sec - Sploofizz, what was that about deleting inactive accounts?! You mean if we have to take a break for some reason our entire collection of points, quizzes, etc will get removed?!

How long are we given before it does that? I certainly hope it's longer than 30 days - something as simple as moving house and the new connection not being set up immediately could mean not being able to play for that long!

We'll have to get an official notice from Justin on this one.

If you need to move, just make sure you get to a library with internet connection

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that it was 60 days. I had my students join to take a couple quizzes on a topic we were learning. They logged is an my referrals so I could keep track of their usernames!

Later I checked my referral list and saw that a couple were still playing but most of them had been labled as N/A. The next year when they logged in again they had to start over. I think they had to select a new username...but it might be that they just forgot their old one!
